      Yes you can, they changed the rules a few months ago and you can trade and choose what platform you want it on.

    Yeh it will be a bit of a gamble. I called up JB and they explained that you put down a $10 deposit on MW3. Then on 8th Nov you trade in Infamous 2 (assuming it's still on the inclusion list) and get your $10 back along with MW3.

    Hope that helps you guys decide what to do.

        No guarantee is what I've been told. This was over the phone to the Chatswood (Sydney) store. The pre-order will be regarded as a cash, rather than trade-in, purchase.

        The representative was quite confident that was the case but it could always turn out wrong.

          I'm 100% certain for sure that JB Hifi Knox will have the deal for sure. Its basically a pre-order or buy in on the day. So when you get MW3, u give them Infamous 2 or wateva game they have listed for the trade-in deal. Regardless they will take Infamous 2 off or not. The deal is new and they said there is a new policy for trade-in games from the day MW3 is released and it will most likely to occur to future games too. Trade in 'ONE' new released listed game for FREE.

    I have a feeling that some loudmouth noobies will blow this deal on the day. I'd ask that the people who manage to score this on the day to refrain from gloating in front of the store staff. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the franchise managers get in touch with HQ and shut this deal down early.

        What you could try is return the game as soon as you've traded so you get store credit to the value of MW3 then get the PC version. I did that ages ago, not sure if they'd allow it so I might just go buy the game instead.

        You could also be a dick and get a price match to Target which will leave you with $10 store credit.

          go to the harvey norman website. it says it for $46.. but wen i called up and went into the store today at harvey norman knox, the guy did it for me for $38 coz the game just went platinum price.

          btw.. how did i get such negative votes? im jus helpin out other ozbargainers around to find the cheapest deal. unless they're all bf3 fanboys. i like both so yeh :)

      jb hifi's trade ins are consistently the best deals i get on games.
      i usually trade in three $10 or $15 games and get games on the day of release (so basically $30-$45)
      how is that a bad deal? that ends up cheaper than importing.

    Sucks it's only for MW3, I would rather Skyrim or Battlefield 3.
    Still, I might get rid of GoW3 for MW3, I'd play MW3 more for sure.

        BF3(PC) has completely refreshed the BF series after BF2:BC2, MW3 remains to be seen.

          No I don't consider myself elitist but me and my countless other friends are not even mildly accurate with a joystick/gamepad/whateves as with a mouse.

          I've played many games on xbox and PS3 and some games are not meant for consoles while others are not meant for PC(think NBA, God of War and Heavy Rain) Of course this is my opinion so FTS

          @ Spawnpoint. I was in the same boat as you when I first began to play console FPS. Couldn't believe how people managed, but like all things, you get used to it and now I enjoy the fact that I'm playing against others on a level field.

          Back in the days of PC gaming (and I'm assuming it still continues today), people would do ANYTHING to get an edge over the competition, whether it be those high DPI mice, consistently upgrading their CPU/Graphics card, special gaming keyboards… it all got too much (and too expensive) for me.

          I used to think like this but I couldn't go back to PC for FPS games now only thing it is good for is RTS games. Keyboard and mouse feels so sterile and awkward. Gamepad is where it's at much less skill involved with moving a mouse around than a Gamepad.

          nope but if you really want to trade in for value, remove cover and voila done. They normally don't check the inside ratings to see if it's UK or not.

          Otherwise if you have a mate working there, then it shouldn't be a problem either.

      Of course not. Only Region 4 PAL can be traded in at JB HIFI, EB Games, Game etc.

        Browsed through the list of 'Pre-Owned' titles at a local store and i'd say about 10% of them were region 1 or 2. Some with AUS classification stickers stuck over the top of the overseas rating.

        Even saw one Japanese game, not like you cant tell that from a local version.

        I plan to try it with my UK version of Dead Island. Bought locally from a pc store…dammit! sly imports!
