From July 1st, most (if not, all) JB stores will be doing a bundle on the X360 slim. If you want to get the console by itself, its $399 (not $449). If you want their exclusive bundle, you get the following games:
- HALO Wars
- Banjo and Kazooie Nuts and Bolts
- Mass Effect 2

The buyback prices are very poor, you're better off keeping the games, or offloading them on ebay when you don't see too many of the same listings! I personally won't be getting this til i know its 100% exploitable! ;)

    mass effect 2 alone, is worth the extra $40/$50, depending on what the actual price is, the other games are pretty shit

    Hello! Is anyone considering how fast new consoles depreciate in price? This is the release price, $225 steeper than the old arcade, and you can expect that to narrow by upto $15 per week. Look at the PS3 Slim for example..

      There will be an an Arcade 360 Slim later this year with Kinect which will be cheaper.

      Agreed I sold my elite on ebay a few days ago and ill wait a month at least before even considering getting the new model. Its already dropped $50-75 before its even out, give it a month or so and it will come down a lot more before it settles for a while. I am not that desperate for one that I cannot do without it to save $100.

      $15 per a week? I wouldn't count on it. The elites are a great price but I think thats largely to get rid of the old stock as the slim is the replacement for that. Down the line they will release a new arcade using the newer console.

      The PS3 Slim hasn't really dropped all that much at all since it came out. Ohh and I bought a 360 Arcade last year for $220 so them going for $160 now is nowhere near $15 a week.

      Yes, but the Arcade don't come with a hard drive as opposed to 250GB one in the new 360. And most likely don't come with these games.

    will any stores be trading in original first generation 20gb xbox 360's?

    I have one of the ones that didn't RROD and want to get rid of it in favour of a new one.

    Yeah look at this for the first day, if you didn't pre-order from EB games or other game stores, JB has a good deal, 2-3 weeks later it should be even better…by that time Fishpond.com.au will have stock and thjeir price should drop. I agree with chyawala.

    I wonder how much eb or game will give me for a jasper arcade console bought a few months ago. I have like 6 controllers as well from my last xbox that went RROD on me. I really want the new xbox slim.

      I traded both my Elite + Arcade Jasper (bought in April), they gave me $200 for the Elite and $50 for the Arcade.. Used an EDGE card to bump it up a bit.

      A bit disappointed that I could have waited and got it for $399 at JB. Wish I had kept it now.

        GAME have better trade in value for consoles (and most of the time, everything else too).
        I do believe however that EB will pricematch JB's $399 console (just not the bundle).

    Don't trade your consoles in. It's nice to have more than one console for LAN multiplayer games.
