Hunting a replacement power supply for my old Corsair 850w that's on the way out and this is probably the most competitive priced 10 year warranty 750w PSU I've found lately.

From a quick look at reviews seems not quite as good as a Corsair RM750x when it comes to noise and efficiency, but long warranty and a reasonable build quality from Cooler Master so you should be pretty right!

  The thing that irritates me the most is squeaky noise some PSU made, once i hear those noise i know there's something wrong with the PSU, i brought two seasonic x series before they all have the same issue, 4 Corsair units over the past 10 years, absolutely dead silence, i think they are worth the price.

    Funnily enough the only PSU that I've owned that had coil whine was a Corsair unit, I've had multiple Seasonic units that were all perfect.

    In general though coil whine usually isn't indicative of a problem, it's just annoying when you can hear it.

      I believe it falls under a category of fault under ACL, so you have a right to refund.

        Not saying I don't believe you, but never seen a PSU RMA'd for coil whine, and I have a PSU which could qualify..

        It shouldn't impact the advertised function of the product so I doubt it would hold up under scrutiny, however some manufacturers will replace just based on good will.

        Unless the coil whine is so loud that it exceeds advertised noise levels…

  I probably would have got this if not OOS, but rm750x recently reduced to $197 (via Amazon AU) BUT 2-5 weeks dispatch.

  It's pretty hard to beat the RM750x/RM850x, given it's basically the unicorn of power supplies 😅

    Not really. There's plenty of other amazing power supplies but Corsair are just more well known because they're pretty much the Apple of DIY PCs.

      If you read the JonnyGuru review of the RM750x, it gets pretty much perfect scores across the board, it could not get much better. Yes, there are plenty of other power supplies that are also well made, but as far as 750W power supplies goes, this is basically a "perfect" power supply.
