Still More Unadvertised AirAsia Bargains to Europe - $794 RETURN INC TAXES from PER, $873 fr MEL

330

Adioso's deal detector is finding even more amazing hidden deals to Asia and Europe with AirAsia. They are similar to the deals we've been posting here in the past few weeks, but some of the fares are even better. Again, we don't know how long they'll last, but we've checked that they are available for purchase now on the AirAsia site.

Links to the London deals are:

*Please note some fares are currently slightly under-stated on Adioso due to incorrect calculation of taxes, but the estimates given above are accurate as of 11pm Sunday night. Inaccuracies will be amended over the next 24 hours.

To find out more options, you can search for broad destinations like 'Europe', "Southeast Asia' or 'Overseas', ie

You can receive alerts on any of these searches by completing the "Find out when prices drop" at the bottom of each search page.

Happy hunting!

  • great bargain thanks for the heads up, can u do one for domestic flights too?

    • There's a Jetstar sale on now too, which I just listed - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/56436

Of course you don't need to wait for us to list things, Adioso indexes all flights for at least 4-6 months (more in some cases) on Jetstar, Virgin, Tiger, AirAsia, Qantas Domestic, and some others in USA and Europe.

      • Awesome thanks!

Look I have heard of cut price carriers but this degree of service is ridiculous 'Melbourne to London - $383 one-way or $872 for 2-week round trip' who ever heard of it taking 2 weeks to get to London and back? LOL. Is part of the way via camel?

    Good post by the way.

    • Hehe, good call. It's not so far from the truth sometimes with Adioso; some of the 4-leg trips we assemble can take 48 hours, but those ones shouldn't appear in this listing :)

    • It's a round trip… so that means you want to travel for 2 weeks. ie 1.5 days to get there, 1.5 days to get back and 11 days in London. No camels required

  • Thanks Tom for these deals! Adioso is great!

  • The trip from KL to LGW and back says "Excludes Tax" and ends up being alot more expensive then the prices above, however still a good deal :)

  • Travel dates?

  • I have been looking for flights from Melbourne to Europe and have found the cheapest route to be Melbourne - Kuala Lumpur, then KL - LGW. The problem is that Adioso indexes information for around 9 months for the Mel - KL leg, but only holds information for about 5 months for the KL - LGW leg. I can see flight information is available for this leg up until at least late June on the Air Asia website, but I then have to tediously search and compare to find cheap prices.

I am concerned that by the time Adioso is indexing the KL - LGW information for when I want to travel I may have missed out on some good deals. Are you planning to increase the search range for this particular path any time soon?

    • We're currently re-engineering the platform to enable us to handle much greater volumes of flight data. When this is complete we'll be able to store all flights for all the airlines we index. But I can't make any promises about when this will happen. For now we consider it a pretty good effort to handle the 5-ish months we currently do, whilst staying determined to keep trying to do better :)

  • Unfortunately the prices shown in the title and examples above are not correct. There seems to be some bug in Adioso. For example I click on a date that shows $313 PER-LGW that is made up of $197 for PER-KUL and $116 KUL-LGW. Then I follow the link to the AirAsia site for the second leg and I get instead: 484MYR (~$148) + tax = 639MYR, converting to about $196 for the second leg, instead of the $116.

    • Many thanks for the comment. We seem to find ourselves chasing our tails with the way AirAsia calculates taxes from different locations. We'll check it out tomorrow. Apologies for the error… it's still a pretty good deal :)

  • Some of these flight prices are not updated. You got the website, the price of flight (especially from Asia to Europe) is 2x as much as on the Adioso website. Guess they've been taken.

    • No it's "Airport Tax" from leaving London Gatwick… It's like $6.47 to leave Kuala Lumpur but on the return flight it's like $187 just in airport taxes…

    • Some of the variations are due to the cheapest deals selling out, others are to do with some inaccuracies in Adioso that we'll fix tomorrow.

  • +1

Thanks for posting this. Prompted me to look at the site and going to London return for $1200 all in including bags, meals, seats etc - pretty happy with that.

    • Great to hear!
