  • I'm tempted - I've been looking for something like this for the activity room as a back-up tv and for my kids to use the PS4.
Anyone have any feedback on it. The reviews on JB's website seemed a bit mixed.

    GGood deal?

    • I think they are the lowest they ever go. But I may be wrong.
Also it is JB HiFi exclusive.

      Good value for money.

      • But is it good value for money? My experience is the super budget tvs are terrible value, they're just cheap.

        • It depends on each individual I guess.

Pricehipster shows it used to go on special for $448 at the start of the year.

  • @blaircam - Got one at work - good for a 2nd TV - remote is VERY VERY slow to respond - beyond that for backup - not bad. Though we only sit at it for 30 mins a day.

It has turned on 2x times for me with no picture - power off and worked fine……odd quirk.

No mention anywhere if it has ARC on any of the HDMI. Anyone know?
(Just noticed manual mentions ARC in its list of sockets but looks like is just a general list, says may not be available on all models so that doesn't help much.)

      HDMI3 is ARC.

Thanks OP. Bought one today to replace the Seiki 55" from the Target deal. Seiki only lasted 6 weeks before a vertical redline appeared. The Ffalcon has much better audio than Seiki, it is actually decent for TV viewing. UI is better on the Seiki. I like the dedicated Netflix, Youtube, Prime button on the Seiki remote. One thing I did notice is that if you were connected to HDMi and after opening Youtub or Netflix then exit. It defaults back to TV antenna and not the last connection. However the last input selected persists between power on/off. There are many online reviews stating very long lag switching channels/app and vol control. IMO it is very acceptable and is quicker than my LG TV from 2014. Casting from my phones Youtube app works just fine. I hope this TV lasts longer than the Seiki.

  • Is it the price has been changed already? It’s showing $699 on JB Hi-Fi website.

Do I need to use any sort of coupon code?

    Just recieved my 55” today.

    First impression:
Menu quite slow compare to TCL, take a few second to show up after button is pressed, navigation also slow, about 0.5 second delay but speed up as you navigate.

    Youtube work fine.
No plex app build in while TCL have.

I would only get this tv to watch youtube and netflix.
For plex, need a streaming box, i have the Nvidia Shield.

For the price, this tv is for bedroom, setup and forget.
    Use for tv, youtube, netflix.
    Anything else would be slow.

If you need plex and don’t want to buy a streaming box, get TCL instead when it on sale.

Google home + Ffalcon + nvidia shield.
“Turn off” command work for the shield but tv remain on, this issue same as my hisense tv, not sure if it was a linux os thing.
TV off + shield off, turn on shield will turn on tv.
Tv on + shield off, turn on shield will auto switch to shield.
So the arc hdmi work, just doesn’t turn off tv when shield is off, wish it would.

Picture quality is quite good, HDR black level is quite black, almost blend in with the top/botton black bar in movie.

Nvidia shield and plex is perfect for this tv.
    I wouldn’t get this tv for $799.
    $499 is perfect.
