this offer was up for a long time, have had it for 4 months now and will use another email to get another 6 months again

  • An aside… does anyone else find accepting updates for Abode (e.g. PDF) results in McAfee being surreptitiously installed.

Annoying. And seems to me you should be asked with a permission checkbox for any bloatware to be tagged on to downloads/updates. Shits me

Adobe Reader DC's initial download has an optional checkbox to install McAfee anti-virus, which is most likely where it has come from.

      • Maybe I checkboxed McAfee on my original download of Abode (I dunno?).

McAfee pops up now after every update (no checkbox permission) and I uninstall via the Control Panel everytime. Wish it would stay away…

    I mean, it's free.

But so is stabbing yourself in the eye, and it's probably just as, if not slightly less, painful to deal with.

Importing the fresh Prince of Nigeria from one of those flashing commercials will be a better way to put malware on your system… But easier to remove

  • Avoid. I couldn’t remove the enterprise version of this at all from my system, I had to do a system reinstall. Avoid. It also ignores exceptions and deletes heaps of files, you can’t stop it

  • Hello does this work? i'm unable to get the download link for the software showing nothing unless im doing it wrong
