Have you ever had that moment when you are in the middle of a conversation and suddenly the room becomes quiet and nobody knows how to move the discussion forward? Of course you do. Haven’t we all? It’s for this reason that I decided to write this book.
What better way to break that silence than to throw out some of these facts:

  • Wolves have a serious appetite! They can eat up to twenty pounds of meat in one sitting!

  • The first high heeled shoes were worn by Egyptian butchers to help them walk above the bloodied bodies of animal carcasses.

  • The vintage date on a bottle of wine indicates the year the grapes were harvested, not the year of bottling

  • Your mouth produces about one liter of saliva each day.

  • Greece has more archaeological museums than any other country in the world.

Fact 10001 - Order it and never read it. When you see it in deal again try ordering and realise you already own it.

This should be one of the 7 OzBargain totems.

95% of my free ebooks still remain unread

      • +2

99% of mine I reckon. I read the 500 dad jokes book though. High quality, lots of repeats in the 500 😂

    Fact 1002: You haven't met my brother-in-law.

Yes next time I'm on a date and there's a moment of silence I will definitely come out with "did you know you produce 1L of saliva a day".

I like to present as an autistic creep, not just any old creep, she has to understand that I'm special.

OzBargin is a great way to save money and overspend it at the same time

  • The first high heeled shoes were worn by Egyptian butchers to help them walk above the bloodied bodies of animal carcasses.

First high heeled shoe turned up in the 10th century, according to Wikipedia.

Wouldn't trust any of the facts in this book.

Ah yes, the most scholarly and reputable source: wikipedia.

      • +1

        Peer reviewed/peer assisted, lol.

        • corroboration collusion makes things more certain.

Wiki isn't a good source but it's still better than a random eBook.

  • Don't become the random fact guy.

    Or … woman.

  • +1

More people die from a coconut falling on their head than shark attacks

  • If I want random facts, why don't I just read wikipedia?

    • Indeed you could or you could read the book.

      • but the book has only 1000 facts. I want 1001 facts.

  • I collect these e-books for when the Internet dies in a post apocalyptic world, and my Kindle will be the only source of information… that I will charge while roaming the world like in Book of Eli.

I hope to learn to fight soon (via my Kindle of course).

    • Does your Kindle have EMP sheilding/protection?

      • No, but I hope to lock it away in something that will provide protection before the big one drops ;).

        • @UFO with a very long extension lead or a couple thousand battery packs to recharge the Kindle in case you have to evacuate your home/ bunker ;)

          • @et tu brute: Maybe a backback full of Eneloops or something?
