You will find out they will be making all kinds of excuses not to give you the gift cards "after" your first month.
Even any "discounted" price shown on their checkout page cannot be trusted. There is a small fine print to say they
can charge you full price without you knowing it if they think you are ineligible for discount.

I was charged full price before even though I used a promo link to clearly have discount shown at checkout.
    This company cannot be trusted.

    • Ye I got the same impression just from browsing their website and starting the account sign up.

Melbourne and Sydney only. Please put this in the title.

Check reviews. I wouldn't go near them. https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/mealpal

    Shit reviews

  • I used mealpal last year and i was getting good value especially when I used the promo offer. It sound like they change their business model and left customer unhappy.
To be honest, a lot of people try to take advantage of their promotion in the past (e.g. promo for new customers is abused by having multiple service number from $2 SIM).
This could be why they install the small print to charge you full price if they found out you are not eligible for the discount.

Mealpal is a hard no for me. Accidentally put $50 in (their shoddy app is poorly designed, I accidetanlly hit the button and it required no confirmation). Figured I'd keep it to use it anyway, then they changed the business model a week later and refused to give me the money back until I quoted consumer law at them. Don't bother with them as a company.
