Would you really get this over an LG 55CX for $3000?

    • Does it have freesync or does freesync depend on GPU?

      • Freesync and VRR.

    • +1

Not a chance, doesn't even have HDR

    • +1

Where is the LG that price?
Trying to decide what to pair with a new 3 series GPU
Edit: Should of googled first, Good guys..

    • At this size it has to be 8k for a monitor

    • If still on offer 65CX for $3,690.00 with Party21 coupon on eBay for eBay plus (can trial) from Appliance Central with free delivery. Better option in my opinion and 55CX for less.

    • C9 deals can be had for under $2k.

      • +2

Who still has stock of the C9? Last I checked they were all wiped out long ago…

        • CX will become the new C9.

    • Was wondering who would buy this. It looks like the only thing it has that the LG 55CX doesn't is DisplayPort, but who cares when you have HDMI 2.1?

      • the branding and look actually carries some weight, one of my friend just bought an Alienware Aurora cause he likes how it looks

    • Whats the best price for that model currently, and how does it compare to the bx variant?

  • I imagine you can't use this for office tasks, it will probably blind you.

Instructions unclear. Got commodore64 plugged into 55" oled TV.

      • Commodore64? What luxury!

        I’m only using a Microbee…

    • Minesweeper on 8K with DLSS has never looked so good. Pair it with Dolby Atmos for perfect surround sound and those explosions will blow you away!

OK……. So how far do you sit from it so your eye balls see the entire screen when you're looking straight at it, to see the actual whole screen, not just the middle? You need 3 metres minimum, most probably 4, comfortably 5. This whole big screen circus is seriously getting out of control and getting more and more ridiculous.

    • Ehh it's subjective. The edge of my sofa is 160cm from my 65" TV which is completely within field of vision and wish it was bigger.

  • +2

    cheers mate, got 10..

  • +1

interesting monitor. But LG 55" TVs are about half the price. This thing only supports 120hz on displayport. The LG supports it on HDMI, so it will be PS5/XSX 120hz VRR ready.

  • +1

Wow this doesn't have HDMI 2.1!?!?!?! It would be lunacy to buy this over the CX. You would need to be crazy rich and have no intention of ever using a next gen console or graphics card.

And next gen graphics cards are a few days away. Dell should be dumping these hard while they can.

  • serious question

how good would this be for a racing sim?

    • Not as good as the LG CX 55 for $750 less

      • Whats the best price currently for that model? Its listed at 2990 on ebay, and how does it compare to the BX variant for 2690?
