Better deals at Blacktown Westpoint or Castle Tower.

  • Spend $250 or more at specialty retailers in a single day at Westfield Parramatta and receive a bonus $25 gift card*. Present your receipts at concierge desk on Level 2 or Level 4 to redeem.

  • Same in Westfield Chermside

So basically a 10% discount, but you can't even buy everyday items you need (Kmart, Woolies, Coles).
    I don't think it's a good deal at all.

  • heres a list of store, a chance to go upmarket or just chemist warehouse etc https://www.westfield.com.au/parramatta/browse-stores

The thing is that most of the non-everyday stuff at Westfield can be obtained cheaper online, from somewhere else.

Also, the T&C say that redeeming gift cards will make the transaction ineligible, so no option to stack discounts.

And, I expect that if I buy some non-prescription items from Chemist Warehouse (like Paracetamol), then I might potentially have to have an argument with the concierge desk staff, where they will insist that my receipt is covered by the "prescription items" exclusion.

And finally, there is a limit to the total available gift cards (1,500 in the linked T&C), so when I do the shopping & get to the desk, then I might find that all the gift cards are already gone.

  • If everyone listened to the negative nellies nothing would ever get posted. Many of the other stores would have sales, makes this a better deal

Spent just over $300 at the Sony store last weekend, I wonder if I could go back with the receipt to claim the $25 gift card?

Edit: Guess not, the deal started on Thursday 17th.

Now, THAT seems like a excellent idea !!

      :-)

      Thanks.

    • the receipt will be stamped

      • The T&C actually don't say anywhere that you have to return the $25 if you return the item:

        UPDATE:

Felt a little bit nervous when returning my item to JB, but the lady at the counter didn't even glance twice at the Red Westfield stamp on the receipt.

Just asked me why I was returning it (I said 'Change of mind'), then checked that the box was still sealed, then asked if I wanted store credit (I said 'No', of course :-) and then processed my refund.

        • this is probably why we can't have nice things :)

Spent $400 at jeweler yesterday, went to claim the gift card today at Parramatta and the concierge said the purchase must be in the same day to claim the gift card. What bs conditions

  • can be used in JB HIFI?

    • Yes, can confirm. :-)

Got my $25 card yesterday without any issues after buying an SSD for $300 from JB.

      The key T&C are:
      - You must go to the concierge desk on the same day as you buy the item.
      - You can't use gift cards to buy the item.
