  • I don't really need one, but I mean $10 for a duffle bag is pretty good, especially from a global outdoor brand, while Country Road will charge you $60 original price for a similar size bag I think.

    • pretty good, especially from a global outdoor brand

branding is a marketing tool to promote some perception or association or differentiation. It isn’t indicative of product’s quality or even value. It used to be that OEM would promote its lines using branding, but now it’s mostly used to disguise the fact that the OEM is some unfamiliar company in China.

    • You might be confusing this with Mountain Warehouse, who have a greater presence worldwide. Mountain Designs is an Aussie brand that shut a couple of years ago and then was bought out.

I have a fleece jacket and a rain jacket from them and they have been great. almost 4 years old and no wear on fleece jacket. Rain jacket is still structurally sound, with only the rain repelling a little weak which might mean it could use a spray.

      • I remember seeing Mountain Designs in the US outdoor market a few years back

        • oh yeah cool. I don't think they are doing so well actually. having needed to close all retail operations in Aus in 2018. then be bought out by another company. I think they deserve success, given they make nice gear without the hype or cost.

  • Mention Delivery Charge as well, so additional $12

  • They also have packable backpacks for anyone interested. I got a $10 off for $50 spend for joining so I bought a couple of backpacks, one for each of us, and a rain jacket for the man.

  • What is this "travelling" you speak of?

  • I'm not sure if these are the same quality as the Expedition range but I got a 90L Mountain Designs Expedition duffle bag last deal (end of 2019 from memory) and it's top notch quality and a good going away/body bag.

  • Would this be classed as a carry on for flights in Australia?
Only 200 grams, lots left of you 7kg limit.,

    • Can’t see why not. We bought some duffel bags to allow us to do that. You just need to squish it down to the right size, if challenged.

  • Nice price. Wish there was a click and collect option available for this product.
