Original Nintendo Wii Bundle - $100 (Qld Only + in Store)

230

Went into Aspley Pick n Pay on Monday night and they had 26 Nintendo Wii's on sale for $100 each. Was told that they are getting rid of them as the new Nintendo system is due out next year (and something about a change to national warranty laws).

While Pick n Pay is part of Coles the only two stores in Queensland which have this deal are supposedly Aspley and Sunnybank Pick n Pay. Not sure how many are left so might be worth calling to get an idea of availability.

Comes with bundled controller and Wii Sports game.

  • Kmart also has these on clearance at $100. Not sure about stock though.
Only saw display models at Bankstown NSW.

    • So is the diplay one for sale?

  • I wish there is a sale on for the original controller so that I enjoy multiplayer games. Those on eBay at reasonable prices are mostly imitations from overseas.

    • how much for the original controller and where? thanks

    • u can pick up a wii play bundle from eb for $28 or bigw for $30, old wii controller though

  • I am new to the world of computer games… but need to venture into it for the sake of the kids.
Am I right that this deal is for a Nintendo Wii console with one controller and one game "Sports" all for $100?
Sorry if that's a dumb question. Seems like a great price for all that. Some more dumb questions…
Can I buy more controllers to plug into the same console? (website suggest > 4 controllers)
Is this model Wii limited to what Wii games it will play and will the numchuck things work with it?

    • yep this will have the default package which includes controller and game.
all controllers will work and I think you are only limited by the game as to how many controllers you can use. e.g. if the game supports 4 player your max will be 4 controllers (some games will need both the remote and nun chuck to play)

  • Did they have any other consoles? Eg. PS3 or DSi? The same deal from the sunnybank store was posted a few weeks ago and they apparently had a few PS3's at that time.

  • Great price, wish I could get it down in Sydney.
