  • They good while they work. When there’s a problem, TERRIBLE SUPPORT. Specially if you but on amazon.

    • I agree, I had the same issue. Used mine for 2 months and the rubber grommet around the main brush disintegrated. Almost a month still waiting. Might need to buy a new main brush. The vacuum is not even used much.

      • The main brush should last ~500 hours at a guess, my usage of the brush is 67% with 201 hours remaining. I've never heard of this grommet failing on any of the Deebot forums so it's not a common thing.

I'd say you likely got something caught in it like a tiny rock and the brush spinning has chewed it out.

Not saying this is the case with you, but with any brand robot vac people get lazy with them and dont maintain them. I like to strip it down every ~3 weeks and clean all moving parts, wash out the dustbin and clean the hard gunk that builds up in the brush housing.

        • My floor is tiled and has no carpets. My main brush is still at 90%. There should be no rocks as my wife maintains a no shoe policy. I might have received a bad batch. Luckily spare parts from AliExpress is cheap. I clean my bin every 2 weeks. Wash and wipe every other parts once a month. I m yet to hear back for replacement. The 920 is vacuuming and mopping ability is quite good otherwise. My reference is a dumbot from Aldi.

  • Whilst the battery and laser tech is good, with 1200PA of suction it isn't the best. I'd say it'd be good at hard floors but not the best on carpets

I also struggled to find the specs for it I had to go on this website:

I had the first gen Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum (1800 Pa) and now I'm an happy owner of this model. Even if on paper it seems a drop in specs, I can definitely vouch for the performance of this vacuum cleaner. I have two carpeted areas with two cat (a white one that sheds a lot of hair) and the vacuum cleaner does a very good job at picking up hairs and dirt. I guess it is something to do with the brush more than pure suction power. It is also a much better balanced model, quite noticeable if you have uneven surface and obstacles (cables for example)

      • Thanks for the review, I'll need to look into this one a bit more then

I have the 920 and couldnt be happier, the suction is brilliant on carpet and i find it better then the Roborock S50 gen 2 i had before.

All winter i run a log fire and it trashes the carpet bringing wood in from outside and loading it in to the fire. Plus i have a cockatoo who thinks it funny to toss seed. The Deebot handles both with ease and leaves no trace of wood or seed when doing these areas. My floors have never been cleaner, and it's saved me 10 min a day every day for the last 6 months on just those 2 rooms alone.

I have it run daily on a schedule, plus have Alexa voice control and it all just works. You will have no issues with the suction.

      • how often do you find you need to empty it?

        • +2

It really depends on how large the area being cleaned, how often you clean, how many people and how dirty the house gets.

Average would probably be every 2-7 days for most people, but emptying is simple only takes a few seconds to pop the bin and hit the button. Then every 3 weeks i give it a full clean and wash the dustbin, pull and clean the roller and wipe it over with a damp cloth.

I took the plunge. Thanks Jay. Was happy to hear from some happy owners to push me to press purchase. I had eyed these of a number of months ago and the price point was just too high to justify.

Adding my 2c, very happy with mine and makes home maintenance a lot easier. Will recommend.
