  • How long do the batteries last for ?

    • They can be wired in if preferred. I've found that each camera lasts around 6-10 weeks before I need to take them down and charge. If they're positioned in high traffic areas it'll definitely drain a lot faster. I only get around 20 motion recordings a day across my 4 camera setup.

      • They can connect to solar panel.

  • Bunnings price match? Looks like they have it higher but it’s a special order.

    • Or JB Hifi and Harvey Norman who stock it currently.

      • Will they match this as I'm interested to know

Bunnings will beat this by 10%

  • This or the Eufy 2c kit, which is cheaper?

  • Hi op,
How do you find the arlo? I've been sitting on this or the eufy. People on reddit seem to be upset that the cameras are plagued with connection issues, have you had any trouble?

    • The only connection issues I have are with watching the live feed when my phone's wifi connection is poor - the video will keep buffering. At times I'll have to switch to 4g however this is rare.

I haven't experienced the cameras dropping connection. My base station is plugged directly to my router. The cameras are approximately 15 to 20 metres away from the base station.

Don’t get it. The night vision is horrible and battery not as good either.

    • I've been having it for years. No issues.

Infact my battery last longer than 6-8weeks.

Camera's are OK in my opinion. But I had an issue with motion detection on one camera. Their support is absolutely horrible.
Took me over 2 months to get the first one replaced. They kept closing the call instead of replacing the camera. Then, it turns out, they sent me an Arlo Pro 3. I thought nothing of it until the free trial ran out about 3 weeks ago. Arlo Pro 3 will not store on the cloud service unless you have a paid subscription, it will only save to a USB attached to the Base station that comes with the Arlo Pro 2. I do not have a paid subscription, therefore I can't watch any videos from that camera unless I remove the USB drive and put it in my PC. I am still waiting to get the Arlo Pro 3 replaced with a Arlo Pro 2 (logged it 2.5 weeks ago). There service is truly some of the worst I have seen on any product. I do not recommended purely for the service.

  • Nice deal. Got one pack at this price 15 months ago. Nicely built little camera that fits my needs well.

  • Still confused Between this and Eufy 2c, I think 2c is HomeKit enabled where as this one is not? Any views?

Just remembered Amex has a cashback …$20 if spend $100. Called up Bunnings in Victoria. Said they don't do price match now with lockdown.

    • My local Bunnings (Regional Vic) said they'd price beat no worries.

      Are you Metropolitan?

      • Yeah i was metro, Knox suburbs. I've pulled the plug and bought from kogan with Amex Cashback + CR

You can still price match at a metro bunnings via email. It’s a painful process that can take days. You also don’t have anyway to complain when you get an illiterate bogan dealing with your price match. Like going in store, it depend on who you get on what day as to if you can price match.

Two emails in trying to price match this item and they are claiming they already have it cheaper! However they say their item with 2 cameras is the same as the Kogan version with 4. The illiterate bogan can’t seem to grasp the concept that a different model number and a different number of cameras is probably a different product…..

I remembered bunnings price matching my dewalt hedge trimmer, had to speak 5 people each not daring to make the decision. They didn't believe the price, called them up as a customer. Asked them why are they selling so low. Asked them if they bought now, when will they get it. Each time they tried to find a reason not to price match, the other side gave an answer they didn't like. Bunnings needs to be humbled, I hope another competitor comes and rip their monopoly appart. Amazon should have a go..
