Ad speech is one thing, lame attempts to portray "features" that are a norm are another. I doubt it contains a generator, solar cell or long-life battery.
They might be trying to say that all the power stuff is inside the monitor rather than in a laptop style brick that has to sit on the floor somewhere. One of my monitors has the brick, the other one has an “internal” power supply.
Internal psu is definitely a plus in terms of cables and space… That being said I've never had an external psu die on me in 30 years. Be it laptop, speaker, console or monitor. I've still got milk rates full of them because I refuse to throw them out because they still work. What are they good for… Not sure nothing probably potentially something.
Agree - I don't need more transformers on the floor. I have had a few die over the years. Especially the laptop ones because they take a bit of a beating when travelling. ASUS and Dell have let me down. HP and Lenovo seem a bit tougher.
