Viofo A129 Duo Dual Lens Dual Channel GPS Dash Cam $219.75 Delivered @ Linelink

DONTGO5

Saw a comment in this thread https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/558102 about linelink and offering deals on their products.
Sent them a message and they provided the promo code DONTGO5 for 5% off with free delivery on orders over $50. I was looking for a dual Viofo A129 and did not want to order from overseas, as I wanted it fairly quickly and happy to support local business vs overseas. Reasonable price, though not the cheapest it has been lately, but again to support local and get a delivery within the month it was a reasonable price.
Cheers

I bought it for $143 a few weeks ago. Came in about two weeks. Getting it installed tomorrow.

If you don't mind buying from overseas and you're not in a hurry, it's may be worth waiting.

    • +1 I bought it for $180. Sort of kicking myself for buying it a week earlier than that deal.

Took an hour and a half to install myself.

If you can wait a few months or so the Viofo A129 Duo 2K version will be released (rear will still be 1080p). Blackboxmycar says this model will ship out early in November. I reckon the 4K is overkill and 2K will be the sweet spot for the price and quality. After this is released all the 1080p stock will also drop in price if you're still keen for that.

  • Cheaper at the official store

Edit: Ops! It is in USD, local site is more expensive

The new model is available for order now. It is the Viofo A129 Plus. Youtube review here. A major change is that that the new rear camera processes the footage before sending it to the front camera for storage. The advertised price for the Duo version including the rear camera on Aliexpress is US$178.99 + GST less $US5 coupon. Paid $US169.47 ($AUD239) for my order during the recent sale. Seller claims to have shipped it yesterday.

  • Looking for one of these + hardwire kit, I think this ebay deal is better combined with cashrewards $25 back, also includes an SD card but I would probably grab a quality one anyway.

    • That link is for the IR version and you don't want that for a duo dashcam lol

      • Oh, thanks for the tip, I figured you could just disable the IR function and use it as normal? I'll try and get the order cancelled.

  • Sorry, newb question: Can you use rear cam for this or A119 as a reversing camera?

      Negative

    • I really wouldn't think that would be ideal. Display is tiny and takes a while to set up connection with your phone.

The rear camera adhesive has been terrible for me. Keeps moving and falling off when it get hot inside. Only fault in an otherwise solid dashcam.

    • Same, but then again we put it on the interior trim. Just tried putting some tape in between so hoping for better adhesion.
