  • Is anyone else getting “This offer is not valid on this site, please use the link within the promotional email sent from QBE”.”??

  • Great! I was gonna go to the aquarium but … mebbe this is better.

2 adults and 3 children direct with Tarango Zoo is $150.90 and through this offer is $107, so still a saving but I guess I was expecting half price if it's 2 for 1.

    • +2

      But…. it's buy-one-get-one, not half price.

      • -3

Yes, I guess that doesn't help when you have an uneven amount of people going.

  • Thanks OP. It wasn't working for this Sunday presumably because of long weekend so I booked for next Sunday.

    • +1

Strange, I was able to book for this Sunday just now! 2x adults

  • Anything worth seeing?

    • +2

      Animals mostly.

On a serious note though, the bird show is excellent, with the best backdrop possible. Went recently, and it was the first time we saw the tiger exhibit, because there was no line because of reduced capacity numbers.

      • -1

Are they still doing shows at Taronga with reduced capacity? Can't remember which zoo I was looking at, but I remember seeing one mention the shows were cancelled due to Covid restrictions

        • Went to Taronga zoo a few weeks ago. Some shows only ran once instead of twice a day and others at reduced capacity. Main cafeteria was closed except the one near the farm animals.

          Check the website

Depends. Do you enjoy seeing animals in captivity, outside of their own habitat, solely for human amusement?

      • +1

"solely for human amusement" is rather disingenuous, and quite offensive to the amount of conservation work many Zoo's are involved in.

Not to mention, if I was an animal, I'm pretty sure I'd rather be in a comfy Zoo getting fed and looked after every day, rather than being in the wild having to fend for myself and getting eaten by something bigger than me.

  • +2

Thanks OP, much appreciated! Good timing as we were already planning to visit Taronga Zoo this long weekend :)

  • +3

Went not long ago, very disappointed by how many enclosures were closed.

Sydney Zoo out west is a much better option.

  • Great deal thanks OP

  • The old, good days days when public attractions were open to the… public.

  • I wanna see the parrots swearing at each other 😂 🦜

  • Gah, went too quickly and ordered the tickets at the wrong zoo!! *facepalm

  • +1

Some animals are not able for being visited, My mom and I went there and she was very disappointed

    • Which ones?

      • I can't remember exactly, there seem to be some african animals

  • +2

I remember in Melbourne we used to have zoos, I think. And these places where people served you food.

  • Awesome OP. In Dubbo now and had planned to visit the Zoo in 2 hours. Never have a bargain hit me at the right place and right time as this before!

  • +1

Any way of booking and then transferring to a later date in November?

    • I transferred Western Plains to Sydney. I'm sure they will change dates in a similar fashion. Let us know!

  • Thanks op. Used today at taronga.

    • Hi, I was wondering if the email with the barcodes to scan had one for each person or one for each 2 for 1? For example, I purchased 2 adults and 2 children and only received two barcodes for entry.
      Thanks

  • Yep don't worry same for me. 2 children 2 adults and only two barcodes shows on the email.

  • Thanks OP. Went and also got 10% off at the store as well. Post reads "share with our valued customers and partners" which I am not really. kinda guilty now :(
