Kayo Premium Subscription $10/Month for 6 Months (New Kayo Customers Only) @ Kayo

3150

Great deal here. Unfortunately, it's only available to new customers; see the steps below.

Note: Kayo Premium is the 4K option with up to 2 screens.

If you're a previous customer, basically, what defines a new customer is the phone number and email. Easy fix is the email; you can use iCloud Hide My Email (generates a new email and forwards it to you), note that the Gmail + trick doesn't work.

For the phone number, the easiest (and cheapest) is the Optus 7-Day Free Trial eSim, it generates a new number, requires no payment details and is ready to use in minutes.

So (profanity) Kayo and their $40 per month fees, this is cheaper and a much better deal!

Enjoy!

Get in quick before they pull the offer ;)

    • +2

Says 30 Sep which is great

    • as tempting as this is, my bulldogs are on FTA for the rest of the year, so value gone. too little too late.

maybe a drop in price for 2026 season??

      • I'd say you are correct. The value is gone because of the significant dead rubbers in the AFL fixturing, still a good deal though.

      • Dogs fan here also, omg are we on FTA for the rest of the year? Do you know where I can check if this is the case in my region?

    • +2

Just posting here for quick visibilty. It is working with inactive accounts which are not currently subscribed to any plan. I used my old account to redeem this offer.

  • Do you need the (new) phone number to work when you want to cancel Kayo?

    • +1

Don’t think so. Just email is fine.

    • I just went to cancel mine just now (was going to cancel anyway as it went up another $5 for standard from July) and I needed to confirm it with my phone code, so for me I did need it.

      • Email codes are also an option for logging into your Hubbl account for cancellation. Just did it myself.

    • When I cancelled recently (to opt for the CBA Yello deal) I couldn't take up the new deal til the old one expired. Ended grabbing an Aldi $5 sim and starting a new account, spend money ($5) to save money ($120).

    $1 or no deal

      • +1

        But you upvoted. Interesting.

So there's nothing stopping me from getting my wife to get this on her phone and email and me then cancelling my existing sub?

    • Yep :)

    • If she has never used those for a Kayo account in the past, have at it

      • +9

        Maybe at her boyfriend's house.

        • +1

I'm using your Mum's for mine at the moment.

I can work through my three teenage kids’ phones. Might as well do something for their freeloading.

        Oh, only until 30 September.

Just become a Mormon. Unlimited wives hack.

    • +12

After 6 months get a new wife and get another 6 months of kayo. Win win situation.

  • Why is it charging me $30 today?

    • It should show $10 at checkout if you’re a new customer.

      • Yep brand new account and its showing me $30

        • Did you click the OP link?

          • @HamBoi69: Yea it was OP link that was screwing me up. I had to go to my account and click vouchers and enter it

    • +1

Worked fine for me, charged $10 to my card. Make sure you're logged out of any previous Kayo/Streamotion account and clear your cookies.

    • +2

Make sure you choose premium option. Standard option is still $30

  • +12

My friend says Kayo is a disease

    • +7

Yep the symptoms include pain in the hip pocket.

    • +1

I hope your friend is a high paid Doctor because they are 100% spot on with that diagnosis!

  • +9

probably cause footy season is only got 2 month left to go

    • +6

Sure but this’ll cover the cricket (and start of the Ashes) and rest of the F1 season.

      • -6

You will be able to watch the ashes on channel 7

        • +11

Cool, with ads and not in 4K.

            • @FlourishingFarter: The ball might be a few pixels bigger?

            • @FlourishingFarter: oh dear….Smyth Poppleton-islington almost choked on his sherry. This is why we send our kids to the grammer school for a proper education.

            • -1

@FlourishingFarter: Agree. And supporting fta is important.

Not sure Aussies are gunna like the outcome given current batting form.

            • -2

@FlourishingFarter: And its cricket, wtf do you need 4k for to watch cricket?

So you can see the sandpaper marks on the ball.

    • 2? 3 months normal season + 1 month finals. GF 5 Oct.

  • Do they stream FHD or just HD like BeIn?

    • +1

      4K

  • Nice!

  • +12

Most excellent. $40 a month is criminal, $10 a month is adequate.

    • yeap like most. There are price increases this year

  • +5

FYI for existing customers. I "attempted" to cancel last month and it gave me a offer to stay of $10 for X months. So i stayed. I think there is a $5 price increase now to $30 so I will be canceling. I'll be finding a new way to stream only MotoGP as that's the only thing I watch.

    • +2

The official pass works out significantly cheaper per month if you pay the year subscription.

      • +1

Nearly half the season done though. With 12 GPs to go, $160 with Dorna, $50 with this offer.

Had a free trial with Kayo when they first started, pre Foxtel. The app was rubbish and they had no interest in fixing it so I didn't subscribe. Might see if I can get this deal.

        • +2

Yeah I’m done with Kayo for good once this season is finished. Just subbed on a new account using the wife’s details for $10/m to see out the season, then we’ll be buying the Dorna pass next year. Their app is significantly better, I’m told.

        • yeap i was thinking or going Dorna! also have access to a android box that has satellite TV (via internet streaming) but the video and audio quality is slightly off.

    • +5

      IPTV

      • +1

yep SkySportsNZ has just about everything you'd want to watch. But having Kayo channels, Foxtel channels, Sky UK, TNT uk

      • cheers will give it a go

      • -1

        seriously.

      • Can you share where to find it ?

    • As with the F1, you can use a Kayo Freebies account to watch the 30 minute Mini replay of the MotoGP race, as well as the live / full replays of qualifying and practice.

  • +2

(profanity) these pricks. Didn't give me my first month $1 sign up then next month bumped it up to $40 a month.

  • +3

In the last month I basically got 7 emails of price increases. I added up what I'm paying, it's now on par with what I was paying for Platinum Foxtel 5 years ago. Optus gives me $20 a month towards streaming services, used to be good for 2, now its only enough for 1.

It has prompted me to join a syndicate with my mates (password share), especially with these price increases. Everything apart from Netflix I think lets you do this as long as you have the premium memberships.

    • I've had no issues using one kayo screen and my dad uses the other in another suburb a few km's away

  • +7

$0 is adequate. Kayo has ad breaks. Sports people have ads all over their clothing and grounds and earn an order of magnitude more than the average viewer. Don't feed their greed.

  • +6

It has no right being the most expensive of all the streaming subs.

    • +6

      the app is terrible !

      • I think it's heavily dependent on the platform you're using, the app on both my Android TV and Android phone work perfectly.

        • +4

how hard is it to add chapters in replays. e.g. F1 races, i have to manually fast forward in a 5 hour telecast to find the start of the race.

        • +7

Yeah, when you find what you are looking for. The design is awful and doesn’t even remember where one is up if accidently stopped. One has to start from scratch and then try find last watched!
Playback however is fine, no complaints in that regard.

  • Interesting it says, "Must redeem by 30 September 2025." Or will they pull it?

  • +2

I went to cancel and got offered $20 off for 6 months. That equates to $10 for Standard and $20 for Premium. I accepted that for now but might still jump on this if I can be bothered signing up a new account..

$40 a month is insane considering how a lot of previously exclusive sports are popping up on other streaming services.

    • Same for me. I did the $1 for 1 month trial, cancelled on the last day and got offered $20 off per month for 6 months. Good enough deal to see out the end of the AFL season and you can cancel any time.

  • Thanks Op - great find. I'm running out of numbers to use for new accounts :)

  • Loading their books up with subscriptions before EOFY?

  • Thanks worked great, FYI I used the gmail trick + Optus free eSim

  • It says gmail + trick doesn't work, what about the gmail period trick, you can place a period anywhere inside your email name
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    …. etc..

    • or you can just create a new gmail/outlook/whatever address. or buy a cheap domain and forward all email to your gmail…then you'll have unlimited email address.

      • I signed up using the gmail + trick and a 7 day optus sim, it worked. That's essentially unlimited emails as long as they allow the + trick.

My only concern is after the 7 days is up the SIM number will go inactive and might be re-allocated at some point, I wonder what happens if I change the mobile number after I've signed up.

        • You don’t need to worry about changing mobile once signed up. You can use email for login & 2fa code.

          • +1

@Borg: I know that, its not 2FA either, you input a mobile number and get sent the logon code, my only concern is if optus re-allocated the number it would still be attached to the account. I might just have to risk changing it.

            • @Hank Scorpion: Perhaps check with Optus CS in relation to those 7 day sims. I'd have expected they remain within your account for six months before it becomes available for another user.

You make a good point though, Kayo accounts aren't exactly secure as one only needs the mobile number to access the account.
Perhaps a question for Kayo CS i.e. to delete the account as number no longer active in your name? Either that or one could change that specific account mobile to a different spare over time, which is what I do as I always have recently expired spares that remain active for 6 months.

    • Just signed up, and the Gmail + trick worked fine.
Also you can change your phone number by signing into Hubbl with you old Kayo id and changing/duplicating numbers on old accounts there.

  • I haven't followed the footy for a couple of decades but my Mum loves it as she is a Collingwood supporter.

Unfortunately for her she missed the last couple of matches so this deal should be ideal for her, providing Collingwood isn't going to have a lot of matches on FTA.

For someone like my Mum, is this a good deal?

    • Footy yes. She may be interested in other sports too. I'm not sure.

  • Thanks OP. Time to get one back on these guys. Been ripping us off for years.

    • +1

or sideload sportzxtv and watch for free

      • I'll look into that. Thanks

        • not all channels work, but TNT works pretty well (so far) and has plenty of aussie sports. Also BeIN and TSN for tennis and F1. Quality is pretty good (720 or 1080)

  • Ooof. Just tried to use the Optus 7 day thing.

I download the app, it asks for my license, I enter the details and the button at the bottom of the screen shows that I'm tapping it but does NOT submit the details. Just sits there looking at me.

I go to the Optus site and try the support chatbot. It asks if I'm business or personal, I select personal, request a human and wait. Their first question? "What's your ABN?".

Wow. So the sign-up doesn't work, neither does the chatbot. Maddening.

    • Delete the Floptus app and try again; it is really buggy.

    • +3

That sums up Optus perfectly. Garbage company who have no clue how to provide a service

      • and it's still overpriced 😋

    • I download the app, it asks for my license, I enter the details and the button at the bottom of the screen shows that I'm tapping it but does NOT submit the details. Just sits there looking at me.

Did it bring up the address search when you entered your address or just had to enter it in manually? I found it was weird I had to write in my full address without knowing the formatting of it, but then randomly pressed in the white space under the address box and it bought up the search box for writing in the address. That then worked with submitting my details then.

  • W thanks lads, ez 6 months

  • Thanks OP - worked well as I had other email addresses I could use, and a second eSim in my phone that I haven't used with Kayo previously. Subscribed successfully - cheers.
