    250 cd/m² and 75hz for anyone wondering.

  • I tried the AUAFFILIATES15%OFF coupon on the S2721DGF deal that was posted earlier and it didn't work at all. Wondering if this one will work with that coupon?

    • This code is for undiscounted full price only, these 2 monitors don't have any discount while S2721DGF is with the 20% original discount from dell

  • Hey folks.. rookie question here.

So I have my laptop, connected to a monitor via HDMI.
The laptop only has 1 HDMI port (so does the monitor).

Looking at the 2 models here:
    Dell 24 Monitor – S2421HN (has 2 HDMI ports)
Dell 24 Monitor - S2421HS (has 1 HDMI port and 1 display port)

I would need the HN model? run 1 HDMI to the monitor, then another HDMI from that Dell monitor to my existing monitor?

Or I need something else for it to all together laptop screen / existing HDMI / new Dell monitor.

    • You can daisy chain DisplayPorts on some models but I don't think you can do that for HDMI. Do you have USB 3.x or USB-C on your laptop? Or a DVI port?

    • What's your laptop model? Might have mini DisplayPort.

But no. Cannot daisy chain via HDMI.

      • I'm pretty sure its this one.

        No display port

        CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-8565U Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.60GHz) - Display: 15.6" Full HD IPS Anti-Glare Display (1920 x 1080) - Memory: 8GB DDR4 2400MHz - Storage: 256GB PCIe-NVMe OPAL SSD - Windows 10 Pro - Fingerprint Reader - Network: Intel Wireless-AC 9560, Wi-Fi 2x2 802.11ac + Bluetooth® 5.0 - 2x USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB-C 3.1 Gen 1, USB-C 3.1 Gen 2, HDMI 1.4, MicroSD Card Reader, RJ-45

Maybe I need a 1 HDMI to 2 HDMI splitter or something
Or maybe I use a USBC to HDMI cable? from the USBC port.

Oh you have usb-c, that's great. Can find a dock/adapter that lets you display to two display sources (hdmi or DisplayPort).

  • Any deals on UltraSharp monitors?

    • Consider that 24" 1080p 8bit Ultrasharp is more expensive than 27" 10bit HDR10 4K S series……No

  • I have the Lenovo ideapad slim 5 dual. Will i need usb c adapter with hdmi port to connect both screen one on the laptop and second one on the adapter? Will that work?

    • yes it will but type-c plug is better with DP as it has 21.6Gbit/s

      • um do you know which one i should get?

        • I'm having a type-c to DP cable with me now, DP is better and safer in connecting as it has more Bandwidth

        • Startech make really nice docks. Check if your laptop has Thunderbolt 3 over USB C or if it's just USB 3.1 over USB C. Thunderbolt is 40Gbps and is bloody amazing

  • Any good for photo editing?

    • For more accuracy 4K 10bit S2721Q at $348 is way better

  • I need a model with built-in speakers.

    • Then go with the S2421HS deal.

      • That model doesn't have speakers either.

  • Anyone know if this monitor has VESA mount support? The backside looks to have a cover for it but doesn't state it anywhere in the product page.

    • Go to Tech Spec and click the link to see more tech spec.
