Edit : I've spoken in error, it's a new model!
This is not Sodastream Source Element, this is Source Electric and it's indeed electrical. Just a plastic side as to stainless steel side panel on the Source Powder model.

I'm a big fan of the powered models, I've had a sodastream power for a few years, its great. This model is good cost saving for those who don't need aluminium sides!
Related topic, purchased an item through the commercial site about a 1.5 weeks ago, needed to be posted as not at any store near me. Haven’t received any further correspondence from them besides order confirmation. Is that normal? If so, what the hell is the point of putting in the shipping date when you order?!
Yes, very normal. My order took four weeks from a store several suburbs away from me.

I can't see the ad, but the sodastream source element is not electric, but rather just has 3 LED indicators (powered by a button cell).
The two electric models (that provide push button carbonation) are the sodastream power, and the sodastream spirit one touch.
