I sort of think Greg should have honoured this and get ozbargaiers (presumably a few new customers) try the undies and become his loyal customers if the qualities are as promised. I’ve never used his product but if it is really comfy I would continue buying imfrom him. Otherwise no chance I would pay even with the 50% discount code for a pair.
Average ozbargainer wouldn't pay over 10 bucks for boxers
Step One - create a promo without doing sufficient testing
Step Two - get huge volumes of orders
Step Three - cancel all such orders, apologise, offer 50% discount
Step Four - Sip on margaritas while your orders ring @ 14.50 per pair as there would be people ordering via the 50% code

Should have taken a leaf from kogans kitchenmixer ordeal and cop the lost to gain genuine customers. Own up to your mistakes, take the hit, be transparent with customers that you're making a loss, and hope 1 in 10 of those are reoccurring customers.
Not sure of their financial status, they are a team of only 6 though so it leads me to believe they aren't huge. The rep said there was over 3000 orders @ $29 a pair = $87,000 (+ postage). For a small business that may be more than just a loss - it could be serious for them.
Especially when it wasn't even the undies were on a special sale, it was legit free.

I used the code and brought the $31 zip pair down to $2 and after I paid through PayPal, it charged me full price and the code said expired. Have asked for a refund through PayPal.
