Nothing fancy, just a cheap 'Dell' wired keyboard under $11 for prime members.

Just a FYI, AppOnly deal might be applicable, haven't tried it though.

Edit: CamelCamelCamelAU says $10.96 was historical low.

Good find if it's decent enough to use whenever wireless keyboard leaks magic smoke.

    • +2

The magic mushrooms are for you not the keyboard.

    • That's about all I'd recommend it for, as a spare until you can find another decent one that's had the magic smoke refilled. We did a rollout of new Lenovo gear last year and this was the most common keyboard that came with the PCs, and while they were tolerably better than the gunky, ancient HPs they replaced I wouldn't want to use one for any length of time.

  • Pair it with the $19 Dell wireless mouse and you have a Dell mouse/keyboard combo for $30.

Wired keyboard and wireless mouse? Quite the combo..

    I'd recommend this keyboard over the 580-AAHG - https://www.amazon.com.au/DELL-KB522-Business-Multimedia-Key…

More media controls and a better typing experience.

    • We have both in my workplace and the KB552 is a much better keyboard. I would agree with you.

    • Is there a wireless version?

    • Does this come with the wrist rest?

    • Yeah, the OP’s keyboard is a good backup/spare but not very good for everyday use

    • Agree, this keyboard is too stiff to type on.

  • Bargain, cheap keyboard that will do its job and last

  • Thanks OP. got one

  • Year it’s cheap but without ergonomics, at what cost to your body?

I've done far worse to my thumbs through swiping through the pages of ozbargain on my iphone than i've ever done on a basic keyboard……….

  • ops! just got Dell KB216 for $16, looks identical

    • +1

580-AHHG and KB216 are one and the same. Check out the packaging photo.

      • Ah yeah! I have 2 of these but both came in non-retail packaging (Mfg. 2015 & 2018), brown colored box.

  • I was in the market for a wireless keyboard but this will have to do. Any wireless versions of this?

  • Waiting for the KB522 to go on sale.

I don't have Prime, but got a free 30 day prime when ordering this, so postage is free

  • +3

Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months.

    • +1

They don't charge you until it's dispatched, and if you don't need it in mean time you just click the cancel button.

      That's the Amazon difference

Wired keyboard? Wow! Turntables making a come back, now wired keyboards. Looking for a PS/2 mouse deal for next week.

    • I have both on the same computer. corded for regular table use, and a small logitech for mobile use. In my experience, a full size wireless keyboard is not very good for battery, the logitech is excellent, will last for years on one battery but it's not full sized and it lacks led's and I happen to like led's

    • Since covid there hasn't been any good deals on wireless keyboards

I do enjoy people who don't get jokes.

    • +1

You know, when I used to fix a lot of PCs for people I kept both a PS/2 keyboard and mouse handy for the longest time, just for those times when someone had an older motherboard that didn't support USB at boot time. It was surprisingly common even up to ten years ago.

      No joke. :)

      wireless not for gamers..

      • Not all gamers. If you are playing role based or real time strategy.

Anko wired keyboard from Kmart is only $8. Also wired mouse for $4. No need to wait 2 months.

    Just FYI.

    ;)

I bought that and it stopped working after few months, cheaply built too.
Then I bought similar cheapie from Officeworks, crap build too but still going.

      This dell seems better quality.

  • Just bought three of them, because… why not

  • Thanks, grabbed one!

These cheap Dell keyboards are a great way for management to soften up workers who are about to be made redundant.

    • Hmmm, I know someone who was just given a keyboard from work… Oddly enough they gave her a cheap RGB gaming keyboard. Seems like an odd choice for someone who has been working on a tiny laptop screen since March.

Why would they give a keyboard and then make them redundant?

      • Great question, id like to know as well

  • Got it today. Keys are a little small. Don't know if I should return it. I have a similar looking dell what came with my XPS but that feels better built.
