Still seems very expensive for old products with bad specs, no warranty + worn out batteries etc

    • +1

Hi, free warranty is offered on every product we sell. We test our batteries thoroughly.
They last for a reasonable period of time. You can claim warranty if you believe the battery life is much shorter than expected.

      • +5

nothing is reasonable about reselling 3+ old batteries under even regular use…

        • +2

for macbooks you can ask their support for battery cycles on each unit

        • Most of the stock we sell isn't 3+ years old. Some have batteries replaced, and in some cases my manufacturers themselves under warranty.
You can ask our support staff if you have specific requirements. We even record battery cycles for all of our Apple Stock

          • @RENEWD: Fair enough, but the negs speak for themselves.

Is the stock great condition, perhaps.

But in the end its specs vs price, and even if these things were brand spanking new, there are no bargains here with that mark up. Even new those laptops were overpriced.

          • @RENEWD: You have this 2016 MBP model for 2.6k while the Apple refurbished store has a similar speced 2018 model for the same price this week. You need to sharpen up on your pricing.

https://renewd.com.au/collections/apple/products/apple-macbo… 2 year old macbook pro for the same price as a brand new one
also the listed "new price" is much higher than what it would have actually cost new

May be first fix your terminology of great product:

    Product is in GREAT CONDITION,
"this classification is reserved for device that will show evidence of heavier use that will include scuffing, heavier scratches, dents and chips on external surfaces, wear and tear will be visible on palm rest, keyboard and touchpad"

Should product is in C grade condition

    • +5

This is just an intentionally misleading classification. Bad form and none of the pricing is good enough to justify the risk.

Over two years ago I bought a mid 2014 update 13" Macbook Pro (8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) for $600 from these guys.

Now an early 2015 update 13" Macbook Pro (8GB RAM, 128GB SSD) is $875 after this discount.

Something went horribly wrong with their pricing in there somewhere.

  • +2

$274 for a Surface Go in "like new" (excellent plus) is decent right?

No bargains here, move on people

Bought a laptop from them early this year. Worst purchase ever made. The product condition specified in their website is misleading. How can a product be in 'Great condition' if it shows evidence of heavier use including scuffing, heavier scratches, dents and chips?

    • the laptop died after 3 months. Took it to a repair tech and he opened it up. The HDD had no caddy in it but just a piece of cardboard. It was a motherboard failure and had to sell it at ebay for parts.

Bought another laptop from a different seller and the laptop is working fine till now.

I used a similar discount code at that time but dont be fooled by that.

I looked laptops on this site the other day and I could buy brand new for not much more with new gen hardware. Agree with other posters.

  • I bought a few from them when their website were establihed a few years back(

There were some good laptops that were cheap with reasonable quality back then.

The days are over since Covid-19. I noticed that used laptops on Ebay are more expensive than before.

GREAT pricing..but sadly this website is for actual bargains..

I will share my experience with them which is very recent, I bought a 2 in 1 laptop (good condition) from them after i saw a post last week,

The laptop was was fully functional and was really good in terms of it's speed and performance.

The only thing bothered me was a bend on the exterior side of the panel, which I felt would lead to a failure if not taken cared within the warranty.

I was happy for them to repair it / provide me with a replacement laptop.

Contacted them via their web chat and was surprised to receive such a great after sale service. I discussed the matter and they simply sent me an email with a priority return mail and authorized an immediate refund,

The laptop was back yesterday and the refund should be processed anytime this week.

I agree that nomenclature on the condition titles are a bit off, but I feel the description provided is accurate.

Any purchase from them is risk free is what I am trying to portray. because of their after sales support / return policy.

I would buy again as this is great value.

"..Any purchase from them is risk free is what I am trying to portray. because of their after sales support / return policy.." would this write a real customer ?? Really?? :(

      • I am not associated with them, just shared my recent personal experience, the choice always remains with us (the customer).

    • I paid return shipping fee (reimbursed by PayPal though) when returning a laptop within a week ; had purchased a good condition laptop which wasn't good at all.

      • Hi,
Please pm me your order/tax invoice number so I can have a look for you.
If you contacted us within a week of receiving the laptop and the condition wasn't as advertised. You shouldn't have paid for the return shipping.
        Thank you

        • I have pmed you.

      • Aus Post notified me last night that the return parcel was delivered and today the refund was issued by the Renewd Team.

  • I think the details specified in the offer is misleading as well.

The offer says " Get $225 off Listed Price on Refurbished Laptops, MacBooks, Surfaces, and iPads (Min Spend $449) with free standard shipping."

Now, when you add 2 laptops worth more than $449 in total and applying the code, the website says its not applicable. Which means what the seller specified in the listing is wrong. It should be " for individual items worth $449 and above".

    • Hi Peter,

We tried to add that in the title but it was edited.
This information is already in the description of the post
Minimum purchase price of product $449, offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

      • Hi, thanks for your prompt reply. You should mention that as ' Minimum purchase price of an individual product $449'.

        • Thank you for your feedback.
          I have updated the description.
