    Sounds good,.
Do I need another one? 🤔

    • Yes.
Source is I buy Logitech mice and the microswitches always die. Hopefully master 3 lasts longer.

      • +1

        the microswitches?

never had anything logitech die on me.

        • The scroll wheel ratchet on my MX 2S started randomly disengaging. I made a warranty claim with Logitech who wanted a few photos of device and proof of purchase.

I now have a reasonably functional MX2S and an free replacement MX3 in retail packaging.. Take from that what you will.

I wouldn't hold my breath, The last two high end logitech mice I've had, the micro switches had the double click issue. Fixing the problem is a pain in the arse, sometimes multiple fixes are needed over time.
The cheap Microsoft intellimouse that I was using before the logitechs, went to my shop where it lived on for nearly 15yrs without trouble (8hrs a day 6 days a week hard use) it's still works fine.
Google the microswitch thing… it seems very common. They must make more in new mouse sales than it costs them on returns, else they would have fixed it.

        • I thought the microswitch issue only plagued their gaming mice line up. Looks like it's here as well.

I'm still using the original G502 which is now about 5-6 years old with ~13 hr daily use and it's still working fine though the rubber under my thumb has worn down to the plastic and the metal scroll wheel's surface feels a bit rough because the metal coating wore off unevenly. No double click issues so far - either I got lucky with the lottery or the microswitch issue wasn't there at the time.

I like the shape and scroll wheel so I've been waiting for a (hopefully lighter) replacement but I'm put off by the current prices of the G502 and the switch problem.

  • What is latitude pay?

    • +1

      Gerry Harvey’s answer to afterpay

Payments are broken down over 10 weekly instalments

No charges except if payments are missed

      • +1

        afterpay doesnt credit check.
        Latitude does.

        • +1

This should be in bold in the heading, thanks for saving me a stuff around, no credit file access is worth $50

  • +17

Good deal! But I can't bring myself to support Gerry Harvey/Harvey Norman. Hoping Officeworks can bring their price down a bit.

    • I do remember when I was in store a few years back, a lady was denied a credit card but the salesman gave her the spiel about how renting the items doesn't have such a vigorous credit check procedure and off they went with the Xbox, games, accessories to bundle into a small business rental contract.

I guess it's still much better than Radio Rentals.

    • +2

Yeah he's the last person I want having my money. Really wanted one of these mice too!

      • -1

whys that mate? been wanting one of these mouses (mice?) for a while. Is there any reson I shouldnt be giving my money to Gerry

        • +8

          He's a dick, basically.

        • +2

Is there any reson I shouldnt be giving my money to Gerry

They have very weird, irrational attitudes.

They voted for a GST by voting Labor and Liberal, thereby screwing themselves and ensuring they pay tax at a higher rate than the wealthiest in the country regardless of their own income.

But when Gerry Harvey came along and lobbied for the GST to be applied to online purchases under $1000 they got a huge boner for him even though they voted to have the GST in the first place.

They voted for two parties that take money from hundreds of entities to control the country - including Gerry - but they got a huge irrational boner for Gerry for some reason.

A boner over not much compared to say privatising electricity and severely damaging the economy by having their own money removed.

          • @Diji1: I see! Thank you very much for that I appreciate it. F*&@ Gerry then bit of a tosser by the sounds of it.

  • is mx master 4 around the corner?

    • +4

      Highly doubt it

I believe it was close to 5 years between Mx master 2s and mx master 3

    • +5

Yeah as the other person said.

Mx Master 3 was released last year and Logitech's Mx Master series mice aren't released every year as they don't need to be.

      • Everything else these days needs yearly releases…. must have the latest and greatest mentality has put me off buying new stuff as its usually at a premium

        • Yeah that's true. Can't keep up with technology. Usually these "new products" are just variants of the same product with a couple of additions. I'm glad in that sense that logitech aren't just dishing out the same product every year with an extra letter which they could easily do for instance by saying "The new Mx Master 3 +" or someshit like that.

But tbh, hardly anything innovative has happened in the office mice realm per se lol. Apart from some cosmetic touches and maybe some added functionality features.

Fantastic mouse. Personally, I went to a MX Vertical and I love it. Took a little getting used to, but it's much easier on the wrist. Wouldn't recommend it for gaming, but it certainly alleviated all of my mouse wrist pain while working.

    • I too use the MX Vertical to save my wrist, and it does;
but I still game with my G502 Proteus :p

  • Are there still issues with scrolling? I was reading a lot of people moved back to their 2S due to the lag created in the new scrolling mechanism.

    • I bought one and was having issues with scrolling. I don't have issues with it anymore. Idk if it's a logitech update, or I just got used to it though.

Edit: may have been a different issue. Wasn't laggy, but sometimes the scroll would bounce back up a bit.

      • Wasn't laggy, but sometimes the scroll would bounce back up a bit.

I had the same issue initially - it does not do it anymore though.

    • I use it with linux setup. Feels good, do not experience any issue.

Harvey Normans with a good deal?? Wtf

  • +2

    Great post thank you.

  • +1

Harveys are hopeless. Ordered for pick up. Showed as available stock. Mouse is now on backorder with no ETA. Oh well - still the cheapest MX 3 around.

    • +1

Had the same with good guys

They fulfilled the order 4 months later

  • It's showing up as $148. I added the usb stick to cart and the price becomes $155. Could you please share how I go about getting the $105 price?

  • Hands down best mouse. This is a good deal on it

  • +1

Megabuy have it for $128.95, you could potentially live chat at Harvey Norman and then you'd have more of a difference to play with to get to $150 to get more value :)

    • Have you used them?

      • +1

I'm giving it a try rn but the live chat wait queue is 30 minutes long. There's zero chance for them to price match it to $128 since it's an online only product at MegaBuy, but there might be a chance they'd price match to $144.90 delivered.

Edit: If anyone else was wondering, nope they can only match to $144 + delivery… what a saving.

    • +1

My local Harvey Norman were more than happy to price match Megabuy's $128.95 over the phone. I also needed a USB so added a 64GB USB 3.0 for $25 to meet the $150 min spend. $103.95 for both items after $50 discount - awesome deal! :)

  • Don't understand why my application was rejected. Credit card with big 4 bank. No outstanding debts. Stable income. lol

    • +13

you have too good record, so no chance of missing payment for extra charges :)

  • +3

Latitude pay lowers your credit score even by just applying.

    • is this true? Thought afterpay latitude pay don't do credit checks, affect your credit score?

Definitely not worth it if anyone is going for a loan anytime soon.

      • Afterpay doesn't do credit checks, but Latitude Pay does.

    • c'mon you can't post that and not back it up with a source.

  • Anyone have any opinions on the vertical mouse version? https://www.harveynorman.com.au/logitech-mx-vertical-advance…

  • +1

This is the best productivity mouse ever made, hands down!

I use the MX Keys + MX3 mouse and it's ruined me because I can never use anything else ever again, the logitech flow software works so well, unlike the logitech Ghub software……

If you want a mouse that's the best compromise between productivity and gaming though? G604 wireless comes close to the MX3….just no flow software.

I don't know about latitude pay, I never use things like after-pay and so one so make sure you read terms and what have you. Gerry Harvey always gets his cut though…

    • I often seem to have a problem where my configured mouse button go back to default when my computer restarts. Have you ever had this problem? Usually I'll close/restart logitech options and it will fix itself but still annoying.

      • I tend to use the mouse 'as is' with not many alt-configurations, sorry. My G604 doesn't have the problem with a custom setup, but it uses G-Hub instead of options….sorry I can't be of more help here

I have a colleague on a mac who had to completely reinstall logitech options to get the back-forward button button to work at all though. Logitech help says "Note: On the Mac, enabling of the back/forward buttons requires installation of Logitech Options software" (https://www.logitech.com/en-au/manuals/mx-master-immersion-g…). Hope it helps?

  • Ok this is a dumb question but LatitudePay needs a few business days to verify my ID, is anyone here willing to purchase this on my behalf and I can transfer you the funds? Thanks!

    • say no more fam

    • -1

Anyone South Brisbane can do? I can pick up and pay cash in person Friday night. (and some chocolate as tips :) )

  • +1

    Harvey Norman? Nah.

  • Wish the MX Master 3 for Mac was released :(

  • My application to signup Latitude pay has been rejected.
does anyone meet the same issues?
so wired that I do not have any other credit card bad record.

  • +2

$23 delivery fee to melb when a 2nd item of a usb is added? wtf :(

  • damn… already bought this in the previous deal for around $135….. too cheap but no point in getting another one as I have MX Master 1 and 2S as back-ups…

  • Had a mini freak out when I read the title, thinking there was now an MX Master 3+ available which I would obviously have to buy immediately and replace my perfectly fine MX Master 3…. Crisis averted

  • Is this good for average computer users? A few Excel models but nothing intense.

    • It is great mouse for average users. Just the comfort alone is well worth it if you spend 1-2 hours a day in front of a computer let alone 8-10 hours.

      • Thanks - I don't have any current issues/pain but happy to get it based on that!
