Xiaomi POCO X3 NFC 6GB/128GB Dual Sim - Cobalt Blue - $354 + Delivery (HK) @ Tecobuy

330
TECO8

I've been looking for a decent deal on a mid-range phone.
Kicking myself I missed the Redmi Note 9 Pro for $315. Any chance of a repeat on that?
Came across this deal. Depending on your postage its decent.
It should be $362, minus the $8 with the code - plus whatever your postage is.
If you use the code you lose the cashback afaik.

  • Postage seems to be a standard $15 for normal post.

as much as people despise the CCP, you're not that important to spy on

      • -1

How you know? You work for CCP?

        • Spy or not no one is pushing you to buy any chinese products.

          • @dingdong3000: Thank goodness for that!

            • +6

@MuddyClear: Your underwear is probably made in china, and the CCP are probably not impressed with the data they are collecting from you as we speak.

              • @pkjai: Excuse me! My underwear is made in Australia.

                • +2

@MuddyClear: The device you typed that on was not… guaranteed :=)

      • You have Balls :-,

      • I'm looking for a non spy phone, which one are you using?

        • -4

Australian made phone. You gotta be nuts to store private data on Chinese made phone.

          • +2

@MuddyClear: Please enlighten me which phone is that?

          • @MuddyClear: And which phone, that you can buy in Australia, is not made wholly or partly in china?

          • @MuddyClear: Now you are talking, no walking

          • +2

@MuddyClear: Haha a few years back I went to the factories where Pegatron (Asus) products were made.

No joke on one line Asus, the next Playstations, the next Dell, the next an Apple product…

Most likely all your electronics have at some point been in China.

    • No worries, the CIA is spying on CCP.

  • +2

They take a long time to dispatch

  • Is it local stock? Shipped from Australia? Website is kinda vague on this.

    • Aren't them same mobs as Tobydeals?

$323 shipped at Aliexpress. Seems like tecobuy is using grey imports anyway 🤷‍♂️

Nope that's 64gb version no blue 418au for 128gb version

      • -1

Oh, didn't see the size difference. Good pick up. Mine shows $380 for the 128gb (so tecobuy is still cheaper)

        • +1

Add the gst at aliexpress checkout n its $418 au

    • They are not situated in Oz so naturally item will be sent from os.

As mentioned above these guys are Tobydeals so beware of stock level and if no stock expect long delivery times.

    • +5

Yeap, I had tried to purchase this on the previous TobyDeals post and despite it saying it was "in stock" at the time they obviously didn't have it, as around 2 weeks later they sent people emails saying they had received stock and it "wasn't up to quality" so cancelled and refunded the order, meanwhile lifting the price from $319 to $379 on their site…

  • Has anyone got a deal for this in the black that ships reasonably quickly?

    • +2

I got mine last week, purchased from Banggood.

Really loving this phone right now.

      • No issues using the NFC in Australia?

        Any other feedback?

        • I have been using GooglePay for a week now to do most of my transaction. No problem.

I would say, anyone that wants to get this phone, should debloat most of the useless apps that comes with it.

I did reddit post on, few disuccsion regarding the debloating.

      • When did you order from Banggood? I'm still waiting on my pre-order from 15th September to be sent out…

        • +1

I ordered the Shadow Grey 128gb

          https://imgur.com/a/yl8ohuB

          Ordered on 19 arrived 6/10

          • @froddoog: Thanks froddog, seems like maybe the 128gb was sent out on time, but not the 64gb.

            • +1

@HomebrewFC: Yea, I feel like the 64gb is very popular.

I think just wait for it patiently, it will for sure come :)

      • Camera hows the camera

    • I queried when my order was going to be shipped after 5 days had passed without a shipping notif and Tobydeals cancelled my order quoting defective stock - seems like a standard excuse from them which they've also used for the note 9 pro from another ozb other thread.

I bought the grey 128gb on 29/9 from BG after dancing with Tobydeals, the phone still hasn't shipped out yet from BG due to stock levels, looks like they are currently out of stock now but I'm ok to wait.

I have done some digging the last few days, quickest would probably be the Xiaomi Aliexpress store as they are direct from manufacturer, but unfortunately you would be paying for the retail price + GST. Circa $400 for the 128gb variant - Still an acceptable price IMO but yeah not technically a deal.

Cheapest would be from teco / toby but there are unknown lead times for stock arrival.

Still love my mi max 1, and 3, avoided 2.

Xiomai may never release the no max 4, if they did it would be this phone with a 6000 battery and 7 inch screen.

I ordered mine from Toby's deals on 15th September and it has just been sent today so looks like their stock has been replenished. Paid $358 for the $128gb version.

    • ordered 4th Oct myself, no emails from them yesterday, would you say those in September are getting thiers first? Strange they had weeks to order a shipment and yet they missed some of us.

      • Mine arrived today in Melbourne. 4 business days from time of dispatch from Hong Kong. Love the phone already. Fantastic value for money.

  • So i just ordered using this link, and used the priority shipping which was $40 instead of using the standard shipping $15
so hopefully it doesn't take over a month to receive the phone. maybe i was better off just using standard, because they can still just use covid19 as an excuse for long shipping delays even with priority shipping. hmmm we will see

  • thanks for the deal OP, this is my birthday gift phone! yey! :)

  • +2

So my Poco x3 arrived yesterday 23rd and I ordered on the 17th with priority shipping. So far I am really impressed with the phone. Compared to my lg v30+ it is wayyy better. We will see how it holds up in the long run. Good budget option for me who thinks buying 1000+ dollar phones is just stupid (for my use anyway) so thank you to the person who put this deal up. Very fast delivery via priority.

  • I ordered from bangood 128gb version Cobolt blue. Took so long to get here i bought a Samsung locally in WA, thought I'd advertise for $400 I paid on gumtree not even one bite.. only recouping my money was surprised no one wanted such good phone.. I'll just keep it as a spare.

  • I’m considering a new phone to upgrade from my dying iPhone 8.

I have been considering going to the iPhone 12, as I like the ecosystem, or switching back to Android for the first time in 4 years.

I need a phone with decent battery life which cancels out local S20’s although the FE is apparently good. I like the pricing of this Poco, are there other sub $500 phones that should also be seriously considered against it and cancelling out the S20 FE as a contender?

Important features to me are -

    Call quality
    Bluetooth connection audio quality
    Battery life
Camera quality to supplement a DSLR
    Security
    5G
    Screen resolution
    Gaming is no interest

I can conveniently switch to Android as I have a mix of devices at home PC, Mac, iPads, Chromecast, Apple TV. I use google photos mainly, but Apple photos for shared albums. The majority of my social and family circle are iPhone users.

  • Thanks, I realised I was being a bit lazy and should check the forum. Handy info.
