        You don't know as a lot of the reviews have no comments last time I looked.

        There have been issues with this monitor with regards to dead pixels (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/571947) and black screening when hooked up to triple monitors.

      Because of people who could not wait 2 months for a monitor. I’ve had mine since September and ordered when the first deal was posted ($503) and these monitors have been brilliant.

        It didn't help that Dell sent two emails to customers inviting them to review the monitor before it had even shipped. That's just asking for bad feedback.

      It was sold for $507 in August but there were thousands of orders, so it took ~2 months to ship for most people.

      rtings.com has a review for this monitor, which is overall positive

      Who knows to be honest as there aren't a lot of comments with the reviews, so no-one knows other than the people who left those reviews.

      There have been some delays in delivery, but there have also been some issues with dead pixels and black screening when used in a triple monitor set up, black light bleed and inconsistent colour between monitors.

      It seems that people are willing to dismiss the reviews as delivery issues and parrot this as the reason for the bad reviews. It may also be because people don't like being reminded to provide a review (who knows).

      The first time this comment appeared was 'it maybe because of delivery issues' to now 'delivery issue, not the product itself' and 'Because of people who could not wait 2 months for a monitor'. These responses are lazy at best and potentially may mislead you (unintentionally) to make an unsuitable purchase.

      This is going to be an unpopular opinion.

      For the record, I have ordered one and am waiting for it to arrive - due on 16/10. I am not intending to use it in a three monitor set up.

        Had a problem with PayPal where it was "Order pending with seller", called Dell only to find out that I needed to make the order again. Time consuming to get it resolved but their customer service is good.

      I honestly couldn't tell you right now. My judgement says that deal will come, whether at that exact price or not I don't know and I don't want you to miss out on that premise. I don't control what Dell offer, just try to organise the best I can at the time. However use the generous Dell advantage coupon by the user above and get it for almost that price!

      Newer Gen LG Nano IPS panel here. Better response times at the expense of contrast but you get a wide gamut panel here too. You also miss out on native Gsync

      Former owner of XB271HU here.

      Mine has issues with some kind of "split" in the screen with a visible "tear" in the center of the screen (common problem, see below for thread), as well as half the screen deteriorating into lines, when used in multiscreen mode. No idea how that works but it was a real problem. Have never had a similar problem with any other monitor. Wouldn't recommend the Acer on that issue alone.

      I don't think I can post links but google "acer 418751" for a forum thread on the line in the centre of the screen problem (which is clearly related since this is exactly where the other lines stop, when they appear.

      Unlike previous deals LiMaaa has provided on this website, this is a deal and code advertised on the Dell website itself. I don't know if LiMaaa organised this one or not (perhaps LiMaaa can clarify and get credit if due), but it is the same timing as Amazon Prime day. This also means it is more likely to go faster when people start waking up and checking emails and the Dell website.

      I did for Series X. 1440p, 120hz and freesync all over HDMI. Only issue is it can't support a 4K image so if the PS5 doesn't offer a 1440p output it will look awful running at 1080p.

        That's a good point. I don't think PS5 has given the official word on 1440p output. The only thing holding me back from getting this monitor.

          I'd be surprised if they don't but the PS4 Pro doesn't so it's possible. Either way, I've got another 1440p 144Hz that can accept a 4K image downscaled to 1440p, but yeah this one can't do it unless Dell updates the EDID via a firmware update.

      As per rtings.com

      The Dell S2721DGF has a very high refresh rate, great for gaming. It supports AMD's FreeSync variable refresh rate technology, and it's also certified by NVIDIA to work with their G-SYNC Compatible technology. Although FreeSync works over both HDMI and DisplayPort, G-SYNC mode only works over DisplayPort.
