Hard to believe this was $5899.

MSI laptops have always been overpriced

Yikes. Pascal 1000-series GPU and Coffee Lake -based laptop that's somehow even more expensive than the current generation Alienware M17 R2 and ASUS ROG Strix G17.

Old Coffee-lake Core i9's definitely haven't aged well and a modern Ryzen 4000 series CPU will walk all over the CPU.

Yeah this is a hard no from me as well. There'd be 4600H/2060 combos that would outperform this, and those would be starting at $1700ish (or at least they will over the next 2 months).

They'd also be smashing it on battery life. This is extremely bad value, and I'm surprised someone still has significant stock.

      • This is extremely overpriced for an Intel CPU,, that is now from two generations ago and only a six core.

  • 4.56kg is bonkers

I fail to see how this is a deal. For a 3 year old laptop

  • one day someone's gonna make a 'laptop' that uses pc components and will destroy the overpricing on these gaming laptops forever.

    • Msi already did. It had upgradeable components but its was too $ so it tanked

    • have fun lugging around 30kg with ya then.
