Toshiba 32CV700A 32" Full HD LCD TV $295 Myer (in-Store)

590

I just picked one of these up from Myer - Warringah Mall (NSW).
The full model is: Toshiba 32CV700A REGZA.
This is Full-HD (1920x1080) 32" LCD TV and comes with a 2-year warranty.
Full specs at: http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/products/televisions/lcd-tv/cv70…

I haven't seen a "name-brand" 32" Full-HD LCD for under $300 before and figured it was a pretty good deal - especially with the 2-year warranty.

The guy in the store said that they had a "flyer" out, and it was also on their website - but I couldn't find it - so I've posted an image of my receipt if that helps anyone.

I don't know if this sale is limited to just Sydney, or NSW, or nationwide
I would suggest calling your local store to check.

I called the Macquarie (NSW) store and they confirmed the $295 price and that these are on sale until Dec 11.

  • Great find. Good budget unit. Those borders are wayy to thick for my liking though.

    • Did anyone know that if you type: "fgmail.com" it takes you to Amazon…, WTF ? lol

      • Lol what… bloody predators, taking advantage of our fial typng skills.

  • Good price. Can you see where is it made? Japan or?

    • +1

Made in China (according to the box)

      • who care??? 2 years warranty should enough to cover if defect

    • I don't think you can find any electrical products today that are made in Japan..

      • Some Panasonic LCDs are still made in Japan, I spotted a few at JBHIFI.

  • hope you didn't get ripped off? the receipt indicates the model to be 32CV700 (without the A - http://www.toshiba-gulf.com/site/product/prd_details.asp?prd…) which is the HD model…which is also what is indicated on the receipt.

    • Yeh nice spotting

    • Yes, I noticed that on the receipt. It's definitely the 700A model. In fact I should have mentioned that it also says REGZA on the box. I'll edit the post.

miss charged maybe? (charged for the HD version but he got the FULL HD one?)
doest appear to have a PVR? (or at least the HD one doesnt… only jpeg.

oh, no one likes the first post, be nice thing…we can see your new by the 1 next to your name, so welcome to OZB…

      • Unlikely to be an incorrect charge. The guy I spoke to at the Macquarie store confirmed the model number. Interestingly, the "sale" sign in the store quoted model 32CV7000, but there's no such model and I assumed this to be a misprint. Thanks also for the newbie head's up - it's now fixed.

    • +9

lol most people would like that

    • +9

I'd also like to see a 65" around this price. And a new car thrown while I'm there.

        Already available! http://bit.ly/tu8f3w

        • Fine I'll settle for a used car.

But I'll still make a huff at the store when the salesperson offers me any addons.

  • Good spotting and great price for a brand name 32". Not to take away from this deal, but just a note this TV is 50hz and model has been out for over 18 months so I assume clearance is underway?

    • Good for the spare room, study or out the back for the summer though!

      • absolutely agree. cant go wrong with this price, especially for a brand name unit.

  • None in WA. I can confirm they were also selling for $295 (originally $498).

Perth store were the only ones carrying this model and even the display unit is gone. Missed out - but maybe next time ;-)

    Good post OP.

  • So confirm this right so this is a full hd or just hd tv? :)

  • +1

I dub thee REASONABLE. Rise, Sir Deal…

  • +2

The new model is $386 I think in the current catalogue and full HD LED is $449.

So clearing an old model at $299 sounds fair.

  • $399 and get the Soniq 42" :)

  • Running out at all myers!

  • Great deal, i've seen cheapo brand 32" FullHD's for $299, and even then it's not everywhere. Very good price for a name brand, even if the refresh rate is only 50Hz, and the border is a bit thick, doesn't bother me.

  • I got the last one (demo one) in Macquarie this morning. It is Full HD model.

    • Did you get a discount for the demo?

  • nope. I asked for that, but no.

  • +2

thats pretty poor no discount for a display..

    • Agreed, i think even a slight discount on display units is pretty standard. Poor Form Myer

  • got one in a box in myer eastgarden today brand new and not display at $265.5 with gift card discount
