Great deal, thanks for posting OP.

If only I was able to get on a plane to be with my family.

Sigh. Coming on 9 months now with no end in sight.

Damn mate, that's rough. Hang in there.

  • Nice joke.

  • How does this work? I purchased some MEL-CAIRNS flights for Dec/Jan a few months ago for 108,600 points (2 people). Same flights now are 103600… not much of a discount. If the 30% had been applied I would have cancelled my original tickets and purchased new ones…

    • 108,600 for 2 people MEL-CNS seems pretty high for Economy Rewards.
Checking this sale it should be 49,600 + $168.16 (or 78,000 inc).

Are you looking at Direct Economy Rewards flights?
(Unsure if direct flights are flying in Dec)

      • We're talking peak time between Christmas and the first week of Jan :) Virgin have pulled all direct flights, both ways are now via Brissy. And I wanted to use points not points and pay because I have 300k in points that are going unused for the near future!
Still not seeing a 30% discount unfortunately.

  • Are virgin not becoming a budget airline?

  • I don't have the email. It's this targeted?

    • I got the e-mail yesterday

    • It's published on their website and seems to work for non-logged in users, so seems to be public.

  • how do you tell if a fare has the discount applied?
The flights im looking at don't indicate whether its the normal fare or promo.
