October 16 3am - Armor of Heroes - A retro-inspired multiplayer tank romp for up to four players in versus combat and couch co-op. Available from October 15-19.
October 17 3am - Endless Zone - The Endless universe and Fantasy Zone collide in this side-scrolling shoot 'em up. Available from October 16-19.

    Hate to say it. The "emulator" they use is absolutely garbage. I have a 1060 and an older i5. It lags with sonic. It's also 1.5gb which just seems insane for games that are 1.5mb. Just (mod: edited) or go back to playing them on cartridge.

    Streets Of Kamurocho looks good! and Golden Axed and what a perfect name for it, I wanna give that a go. Holy shit.. 13 year old me would be through the roof right now, I'm mildly excited.

    You'll have 24 hours to add it to your library, starting on October 18th at 1PM ET. But once you do, it's yours to keep. The same goes for the other three titles.

      Doesn't look like it's free to keep.

      It's one of those ones where you download to a pc free, but it's not saved to your account. Format your pc and forget to back it up and it's gone.

      Am I wrong?

    Golden Axe is my childhood legend. The artwork, gameplay and the boss designs were beyond it’s generation. I hope this remake does not upset :)

      The soundtrack helped made it legendary and I still listen to it to this day. GA2 Tower stage is so damn good.

          Yep Golden Axe is a nice game Looks good for a demo of what could have been a great game. Just really short. Can be completed in under 5 mins.

                          @dddddog: actually i just tried, using the app/launcher/software (so, on desktop, windows)
                          open app, search endless zone, click free to play next install select cancel.
                          and voila its on my library.

    People with windows, what is the best gamepad that will works with steam epic and the rest? I heard Xbox controller is this correct (just old Xbox or Xbox one?)

      I use my Xbox One controller via bluetooth for all my PC gaming, no issues that come to mind with any modern games. But before that my wired Xbox 360 controller was also great.

      Not only that, you need Steam installed for it to be added to your library. My PC has a faulty power supply and isn't booting at the moment, and my work laptop won't let me install Steam. Bah.

      i tried this with the IOS app for the one from today and it didn't work.

      Don't have a MacOS VM at the moment.

      I can confirm you can add these games to your library via the native Steam client on macOS. It'll give you an error when it tries to install, but the game does show up in your library afterwards. You cannot add the games to your library without having a Steam client installed, unfortunately.

      I believe once it's in the library .. it's IN your and "associated" with your login name. Doesn't just go away.

      I haven't had anything "go away" yet.

      I just click "Play for Free!" and it'll ask where to install it. I didn't want to install it now so I clicked cancel and I see in on my library. Wasn't there before as I checked right before clicking "Play for Free!"

      2nd option would be to eat it by sticking it in your mouth. :D

        Good tip, I didn't even have "Play for Free" it just says "Play Game" for me. So I did the install/cancel thing and it's in my library now :)

    its a damn shame Sega hasn't been successful in bringing its classic intellectual properties into the modern era, be it with remasters or new titles.
    Beast Rider could have been epic, imagine God of War style game mechanics and action in a Golden Axe universe.

    Unless I'm doing something wring, Golden Axed is only a single level (though Steam directory does list "level 0, 1, 2 and 3)? A couple times through and already have sore controller-thumb so probably a good thing!
    I don't miss the pc speaker sound fx from the first Golden Axe, but I do admit copying player Sprites over to replace the mounts was fun ;)
