    Also T&Cs state "Instant DeWalt dollars must be used in the same transaction. Why not just a % off. Most complex deal for a while. Not OPs fault as they are just spruiking the DeWalt message.

      I do not think you can use it in same transaction! It is for subsequent transactions. So if you are locked to Dewalt family you are going to use it some where down the track.

        Yes its technically the same transaction in store but the bonus dollars can not be deducted on the qualifying purchase amount. Online we send a voucher to use after the original sale goes through with the coupon code for the Bonus amount. Please note these vouchers need to be used before the end of the promotion (17th Oct)

          This kills it for me , having to spend $100 voucher in a seperate transaction within a couple of days. Anyway the bonus dollars be taken off in the initial transaction itself?

            @kaboom mel: Cause it makes you/us spend more at the store (!!!)

            The $100 voucher is what you spend and it just means they make less profit on the additional purchase.
            Overall, they'll get more revenue from the customer.

    damn, time to stock up! sitting around 2k in cart atm with a mower and a 54v line trimmer + some skins. So i would getting a bonus 5ah 18v with the mower and a 6ah 54v with the trimmer… then once i get the bonus, if i spent that 400 bonus dollars on an outdoor skin (like a 54v blower or something) + other random bits and pieces to make up the $400, would i also get another bonus 6ah with that bonus dollar purchase?

      Short answer, no.

      "Skin" is the tool.
      Battery is what powers the tool (in lieu of power cable for cordless tools).
      Charger is what re-charges the depleted battery.

      If you need a charger or more batteries, best to purchase on Gumtree / Facebook Marketplace / Ebay, etc…
