  • +2

Yeah, I bet these are sold out before I can even post this comment haha! They are good quality tools and normally very expensive.

    • +1

They definitely havent got an updated stock number. Bought one for the heck of it and it didnt move.

come on tell us what's the real purpose :)

    • +5

Bomb disposal. Put bomb in the box and run!

      • i rather call it an Explosion containmment blue box

    • +3

Park Tools are 'the bomb'. Hence the case.
Bought quite a few for a new build awhile back. They're great bike-specific tools.

  • +1

Park Tools might be great quality, but for most of those tools, a cheapy would perform exactly the same job almost as well.

    • there are only a few "bike specific" tools you need, things like allen keys , spanners, screw drivers, etc there are better and cheaper options than Park e.g Wiha allen keys.

  • damn, that was an absolute smarrgain steal. nice one OP.

  • +3

Seems overpriced for what it is.

    • Amazing value. A lot of specialised tools here.

    • +8

you probably don't know what that is..

    • Not a bike person eh?

    • Yeah NFI about what these tools are

  • +1

    • Bike components and tools vary slightly between different models, after buying a similar Park Tool toolbox, I have found use for almost every part after fixing my own and other people's bikes over five years. You'll definitely find the value when you realise you don't need to obscurely find the FSA bottom bracket tool vs the Shimano one, or a differently sized spoke wrench for your friend's bike.

  • Missed out again… I think I should join OzBargain premium to get deals before they hit the public site

    • +2

You got to learn the secret handshake

      • So that's what it's supposed to be called in public… handshake

  • Dang…I wanted a bomb-proof case! In blue, too! :(

  • OOS

  • -3

Happy to buy it of anyone who manages to get one

  • I don’t like this RRP

This is on deep discount too but wtf is it?

    • +3

To take of paint around the bottom bracket and square up the surface, you'd use it once everytime you would build a new bike from scratch.
      Useful in a bikeshop
not so much to a backyard mechanic

  • Thoughts about this: https://www.wiggle.com.au/birzman-essential-tool-box? Also on a big discount… Looks like a lot of standard tools though.

    • +1

This Birzman looks comparable to the $40 toolbox that Aldi sell regularly.

    • That would be perfect for the home mechanic. Those tools, even cheap options, would add up to quite a bit.

  • If you got one and don't want it, I'd buy it from ya

  • +2

damn the one time in my life I decide to be diligent and work without checking OZB, this popped out.
    Lesson learned the hard way.

  • argh. missed out.

    • on a pricing error?

  • +2

If you are into cycling you would know Park Tool is like Snap-On for cars.

  • -1

i managed to place an order for one so lets see it if turns up. Check out the video here if you want to see the kit (https://www.bikebug.com/park-tool-ek-3-professional-travel-a…) but i agree its probably a bit overkill for a weekend warrior….it does come with a snazzy bottle opener though.

  • These are good tools. Either pricing error or non-genuine. Missed out, happy or those that got through.

  • +1

Fark must be a mistake or hacked most of those tools would be that much each at least. Be surprised if they honour it.

  • +1

1300 sounds right for park tools. Hope they fill price error

  • +2

This reminds me of the local rug sale 95% off rrp! Get in quick as we're closing!

  • I bought these thinking i could work on my aero plane, they don't work so selling on eBay for $1.99

    edit, ^^ was a joke!!

  • damns missed out

  • I don't think its a price error, there is a TONNE of heavily discounted items on wiggle at the moment especially in parts
    https://www.wiggle.com.au/cycle/bike-parts?ris=1&o=5

  • +1

Wiggle Stuffs up from time to time. Today many 99% discount "pricing errors".
Wheelsets RRP $3000 for $15! most sold out already.

    • +1

I took a stab at a few things, worth a shot

Stuff like this seemed crazy, Fox 40's for $300

      https://www.wiggle.com.au/fox-suspension-40-float-factory-gr…

      • +1

        Wow

Ill send you a carton if the forks arrive.
Also tried to order a pair of 32s :D

        • Got three forks too… Have you heard anything yet?

          • @ets27: yeah all my orders were refunded

even the full price items I had to add to get free postage

            No beer sorry:P

            • @thirtysixd: Whole order cancelled for me too, and just 2 items (still discounted, just not as heavy as the other items) are there for me to re-order again

So strange to have so many sitewide pricing error's ranging in value, never seen that happen with them before

  • Guess I was lucky with this one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/566541

    • I mean not the same calibre as Park Tools…

  • +1

    Site wide price errors.

  • Highly doubt they will honour as very likely to be price error…

  • +1

Lol good way to advertise they exist. Do a price error run!

  • who just took the Thompson elite dropper out of my cart!

    • +3

      *slowly raises hand

      • +1

        slowly raises seat like magic

  • I've just ordered the Park Tool Home Mechanic Deluxe Workstand PCS10.2 for $16.99 ($51 Inc Del as bulky item), most local bike stores are $300+ for it.
Now the wait to see if successful !
    Was showing 4 in stock.

  • -7

ANYBODY who believes these FAKE retails price shown has rocks in their head, ACCC should investigate this fraud

    • +1

Their store is in the UK so ACCC / office of fair trading etc can’t do a thing. BTW the RRP for Park is legit. These are quality tools for professional mechanics. There are much cheaper options for home mechanics. The price errors have 0 chance of being honoured. Wiggle won’t give you any compensation/alternative so sit this one out.

    • -1

      @8200 Ok Karen

  • lol to the people that paid $1300 for it?

    • +4

Are U familiar with park tool? They are pretty much the best in cycling tools. Go and add up the tools separately and see how quick they add up.

    • I bought 2, 1 tool kit for each wheel, lucky I sold my tricycle last month.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Went through the site and sniped about $5000 RRP worth of stuff for $250. lololol ozbargain deal of the millenium so far for me

    • Did you get them sent?

  • Looking at prices and stock levels on their other cycling store, CRC, I am pretty certain these are all pricing errors.
When I order things (bikes, wheels, tools, etc.) from Wiggle, the stock level of the identical items on CRC go down exactly the same.
If CRC still has items you purchased (but now OOS on Wiggle), it is highly likely you won't see your items [and get your money back].
I have been a platinum customer for some time, but I have to say I have seen some amazing prices this arvo!
Good luck to those who managed to purchase heavily discounted cycling goods today! I don't think they will honour. Let's hope I am wrong!

    • Not true. There was a bike frame i was watching which CRC and Wiggle was out of sync. When wiggle had it in stock, CRC didn't and vice versa.

      • Out of sync until orders are processed.

  • Damn I just paid $1300 for this last week

    • Dang now you can get one more and say you paid $679 each… instant ~ 50% discount

  • Just got refunded for another item selling from wiggle without explanation.

    • I got an email.. I was expecting a discount on my next purchase but nothing.
My best purchase was an Evoc bag for $8 instead of 999

      • So they canceled the purchase?

        • Yeah mine too. Yes, just cancelled and refunded and a "sorry pricing error email"

          • +1

            @Hillclimber: Yes cancelled.
I won't get any of the 5 fox Kashima forks, 2 fox shocks, 2 enve rims and evoc bag I ordered for a total of $700 how sad..

  • +4

    Good evening,

We’re getting in touch regarding your recent Wiggle order that has been cancelled by us.

We have identified a pricing error on one or more of the items on your order and as such have had to cancel the order. Any funds paid will be refunded back to your original payment method immediately, and will show within the next 2-5 days depending on your bank’s processing speed.

Affected items have been removed from sale while we adjust the price, so if you would like to order again you should be able to purchase at the correct price within the next 24-48 hours.

We’re sorry we dropped the ball with this one and for any disappointment the cancellation may cause. Mistakes like this are rare, but we’re only human so occasionally these things do happen.

Please let us know if we can be of any assistance in helping you order an alternative product.

    Kind regards,

    Wiggle.

    • -1

They should at least give you $10 credit or something…

      • Did you guys get some vouchers and gift certificates for all your trouble lol..

People on here would get something 90% off and still want free shipping ha

  • +5

deep down we all knew/suspected it was a pricing error. but it's nice to live that unbelievable dream every now and then
