"cheaper on ebay but only from China."

and where is this one made ???

    • clarification:
cheaper on ebay but only shipped from China

What I was getting at is e-bay and especially e-bay sellers in China can be hit or miss so personally I'd rather buy from an Aussie site.

I'd rather buy from an Aussie site.

looks like these ones are coming from China too…

"delivered to you in approximately 2-4 weeks"

just because the site has a .au domain, doesn't mean the products are in australia…

        • Could well be shipped from China, I'm not sure.

True about domains, but Deals are an Australian company.

off topic: how do you do that in-line quoting?

how do you do that in-line quoting?

use a '>' before your sentence

        • or just add "@ss" before quoting jv…hehehe ! XD

P.S These are IR based, hence they should be < $20, I had seen some for $15 at Sam's/Reject/Go-lo/crazy clark, one of those places… LOL

  • is this the one that sold for $5 a while back? amazingly i still have that one and it still works! very stable little heli, indoors only though, tip; if you remove spring on throttle lever on remote it's less tiring to fly

      $5 would be a bargain

    identical one here $22.99 http://www.buyincoins.com/details/usb-remote-control-3-ch-le…

you can also get 10% off site-wide if you are a new customer as well using coupon '10%Ebay2011'

    • or $15.98 at dhgate where the last $5 deal came from: http://www.dhgate.com/wholesale-retail-new-1pcs-syma-s107-s1…

      • says shipping is $13?

      • hmm, wonder if they are real as the review talks about fakes, anyone bought from buyincoins or dhgate before? If they are trustworthy then I'm glad I posted before buying, saved myself some cash :)

        • i don't have extensive dealings with buyincoins, i've ordered from them twice and they seem pretty efficient (next/same day shipping). i have no idea what their customer support is. as for the reviews, i would take any reviews on those types of sites with a pinch of salt.

        • i got this one earlier this year for $22 delivered

          it's great and it's 4 channel !!!, not 3…

        • If they are trustworthy then

the place you are buying this helicopter from for the deal is grabargains.com which only set up shop on 27 sep 2011.

        • I can vouch for dhgate. I bought the same helicopter for $5 from them last time. Flies really well and amazingly is still in 1 piece after a few crashes :)

  • These are a lot of fun!

I bought the one from China with the 2 rotors on the side so the heli can strafe left and right.

    I recommend these for starters.

Then I bought a bigger one because I was hooked and those a HARD to fly.

"Then I bought a bigger one"

      one of these ?

      • I shudder to think the repair bill if I flew that Hind like I fly my Blade 120 SR.

Would love to see ths flying on video….thaz a big MF.

  • do these type of helicopters have enough grunt to lift a camera?

    • nope… unless its a very very light camera… it could probably lift a matchbox, but that would be about it…

    • +1

probably not, they barely stay in the air for 5-15 min, with camera you might get 1 min.

You're not doing any voyeur/showercam shit are you?

    • It has enough lift to carry the battery, and that's about it.

  • 1) These are cheaper on eBay.
    2) These things are crap. The batteries only last a few minutes and usually only hold the first 50 recharges before they die. These break very easily and the trim only works for a minute before it needs adjusting again because the charge level in the batteries have changed and directly effected trim power.
I've had 4 of these and are way more trouble than they are worth. With all the problems these things have, it really ruined the fun.
    Just my 2c.

    • i can't comment about the battery, ours has been working fine for almost 6 months now… haven't experienced any of the other problems though…

      • Mine is a true, not a replica Syma (this one looks to be genuine). It has taken an absolute beating & survived until by bro decided to have a go. Lots cheap parts. Still having a ball with it. Bought a higher cap battery to upgrade, but haven't got to it yet.

Can anyone recommend a good RC Helicopter for $50 or less?
