You're kinda comparing apples to oranges there. The A2000 and P1 are both m.2 NVMe drives (plug in directly into the m.2 slot on your mobo, no wires) and are a lot faster than the 2 2.5" SATA drives, the 860 Evo and the MX500.
For a boot drive, I'd personally recommend an m.2 NVMe, although the noticeable differences between NVMe and SATA aren't too large for everyday use. I'd choose the A2000 as it is a TLC drive, compared to the P1 which is the inferior QLC.
For games and other mass storage, you won't notice any real world differences between any SATA SSD, I'd just get whichever's cheaper. The MX500 and 860 EVO are both high-end 2.5" SSDs and there's no perceivable differences in their speed.
I'd be using it for storage of samples in a recording studio (audio files) so it seems I should go with whatever is cheapest. I already have an SSD for boot drive. You've got me reading about SLC/MLC/TLC/QLC, which I didn't even know was a thing. That was really helpful. Thank you very much.
Serials on the SSD itself is coming back as invalid for cashback. Apparently a known issue with Samsung not updating their databases..
