Free Rugby Balls to Schools and Grassroots Rugby Clubs in Australia

100

W RUGBY are allowing rugby clubs and schools to sign up for their "Won for Won" project which donates balls to schools and clubs in the country. For every ball sold, another is donated to these teams. No purchase necessary and sign up is completely free, but if an individual buys a ball you can nominate a specific club as well during checkout.

Probably not so relevant to individuals but just in case anyone has kids playing for clubs or is involved with these organisations.

Donating to grassroots clubs and schools, only way we're ever gonna win back Bledisloe. Good on you.

Are these rugby league or union balls?

Sorry should have stated - Union balls

      • The photos on the site all are rugby league as well..

  • They should give them to places like PNG, Timor and Pacific Islands nations. It's a great gesture but i think every kid in Australia could already get a football if they wanted.

Disagree, I've been involved in club rugby for 15 years in Vic and buying balls is extremely expensive and we are lucky if they last one season.

Free Rugby Balls to Schools and Grassroots

Can we just get the grass roots without the rugby ball??
Our lawn has seen better days…

  • Every photo there shows Rugby League players, including a Steeden on the front page, and Cronulla Sharks players on the "buy" page. Call me confused…
