Went back to edit and someone had already done it ;)

Does it come with lego horses?

  • -1

Waiting for it to hit 250

in 30 years this thing might be a collectors item worth double its price LOL

        • +4

Double in price over 30 years would be a very mediocre investment. Even worse with storage.

          • @Dominic: True but it'll still disappoint KingSlayer … as it wont be $250…

          • @Dominic: That doesn’t even take into account the cost per sqm for storage, but the hassle of keeping it safe, dry, clean and constantly telling your SO and children need to be really careful with that box over there and they that can’t open it.

Waiting for you to make a worthwhile comment.

  • soo very tempting, but where the heck to put it to display!

    • My feels exactly.

    • +1

That's why I haven't bought the Millennium Falcon. Looks great but takes up too much space

      • +1

WickedBrick or Efferman stand. I have the MF sitting on a WickedBrick stand on my bookcase, 70 degree angle. Looks sweet.

    • -1

some keep them in the box and re-sell in 5 years

      • -3

Think I'll stick to real investments rather than filling my house with plastic tbh

        • +1

Maybe. I bought a Furby toy in California in 1999. It was a limited edition version and was being knocked out on sale for under USD50 at the time. It has never been opened. Currently online they go for over USD500. Now, I'm sure I could have put that $50 in a 'real investment' but I didn't and if I sold it now, my ROI would be pretty sweet. Collecting stuff can (but admittedly not always) be lucrative.

    • On the coffee table my dude! Put that thing front and centre for your friends and family to marvel at.

  • +3

    Still too much imo

    • +2

Considering they've sold 7 in the last 12 minutes…. others would disagree. Im kinda with you on it though, it's a lot of cash for a big chunk of grey….

      • +1

11 sold ain't much. If it was double stack these things would be flying

        • +1

          Indeed they would

    • +1

pick up only, most likely some errors from Myer Ebay software. wouldn't risk for 1k credit hold up…

    • Accessible via direct link, but doesnt come up browsing the store. I can see these ones getting cancelled.

edit: Only 4 stores in Melbourne showing stock for CnC

  • +1

Only 2 flippers for now based on ID obversation…Be Quick

  • Bring back the days of double stack

  • What a steal!!!!

    • +2

yeah, literally i need to steal some $ to be able to buy this

      is that what you meant?

  • Nice

  • good find! :)

Lego aficionados: is there a resale value for these kinds of things? Like can I make it, admire it for a week, and then deconstruct and onsell it for someone else to enjoy at a discounted price..?

    • Sure, these big sets hold value pretty well as long as keep the box / manual etc nice.

    • +1

Yes, but dont expect to make a profit in a short turn around. Plenty of ppl buy Lego on the second hand market to avoid paying retail.

    • My understanding is if you break the seal, value drops greatly … but I assume that with everything

    • I have bought multiple sets recently, built them, admired, and then resold assembled without difficulty for RRP.

Seems like there are people around who don't actually want to build them?

    • If you open and build it, then you won't make as much as simply keeping it in the box.

There isn't a hugh demand for this set, so it's resale wouldn't be the best.

  • If only I had $880 :(

    • +4

      $879.99 will do.

    • I'll use my $880 to partly pay for a new iPhone 12 instead.

  • 140 sold and 98% gone… oh my gosh the $$$

    • 100k+ in a matter mins

  • OOS

  • fk…just sold out..i missed out by 1min

    • +1

      Probably a good thing

      Use the force

  • ordered one!!!!

oos soon, this time no one purchasing more than 1 set yet.

  • 1 left in current batch

  • . Nothing

  • Although it’s probably been at 25% off before and there’s a chance of a double stack of 20% discounts I think there’s also a chance that myer could close shop or go bust it’s not unthinkable in this climate.

And given the fact that myer and dj is the only retailer that usually have sales and stocks it you’ll be left with David Jones if myer left, so this discount is still nice if you do intend to buy it.

    • How to double stack

      • Myer double stack is when they have a 20% toy sale, then Ebay has a 20% coupon on top.

Used to happen a few times a year but it's rare these days

Its easy to buy it, build it and on sell it for at least what you paid for it. 100% you will get full value back. Myer no regrets return policy. Buy it. biuld it. look at it for a week. Return it. get a full refund. simples as a meerkat once said

    • +5

I'm not going to simp for retail but that's just scummy.

    • +1

Except there's literally no truth to this. Maybe read the policy, or better yet, please do buy it. Build it. Look at it for a week. Then try return it for a full refund. Please film as well.

  • Back in stock!

    Never understood ozbargainers lego obsession….

    • +1

LEGO is the largest toy company in the world - did it occur to you that maybe the 'obsession' extends a little further than OzB? ;)

  • Good price but im not a super rich person also no room! Defs want to get it and store it if i cant build now. Maybe ill wait till black Friday or buy a used one like my millennium falcon

    • Ask Ed Sheeran how to build a Lego house to store it in.
