Wonder if this stacks with the WOW Group 10% staff discount..

    • +5

Who: This offer will be available only on your Everyday Rewards card. This offer is not available to Everyday Rewards Plus cardholders.

No, it doesn't. Staff are Everyday Rewards Plus cardholders

      • can anyone try creating an online account and report back if you can?

I emailed customer support in July when i kept getting "Please enter a valid email address." error messages when trying to create an account. Just tried it again and same problem. tried 3 different email accounts including a staff one from a related business and tried two different browsers.

        • +1

It rejects odd email address/domain. Gmail is always fine.

          • +1

            @Neoika: it rejected
            @protonmail.ch
            @gmail.com
            @ALHGroup.com.au

did you sign up during purchase? i was trying to register prior to purchase so as to link rewards card. I'm now wondering if registering during purchase will work as the system seems to ask for the email address separately for that process.

Wonder if they'll have the 70" ecko tv in stock.

    • +2

      Was thinking the same thing!

    • +5

With stacked 5% that would make it roughly - $680. What a bargain

      • Hi I'm new here but often see these comments about stacking with gift cards to reduce the price. How does this work? Can you please give me a link or briefly describe how it works. I'm thinking I go to the service desk at Big W and buy gift vouchers to the value of the $795 Eko TV and when I use them to purchase the TV, I will receive 5% off the purchase price? Is that kinda how it works? Thanks for any info

        • +5

I am sure someone more knowledgeable will answer you soon but in the meantime
I think you buy the gift cards when there is a 5% discount on them (possibly through another retailer) and then use them to pay for purchase.

        • +1

I reckon it's from the wish gift cards you can buy from websites like cashrewards. You buy them from these websites at marked down prices e.g. 5% off then you take these pre-bought gift cards as payment and use with other offers e.g. This current one

          • +2

@Chocobros: Cashrewards have reduced their discount but you can still get 5% off from RACV or other state equivalents.

        • +5

Often or not there will be multiple stores like Woolworths and other sites like Patthecat linked that give discounts on gift cards.

Since Gift Cards are essentially $, because whatever price you get at checkout you pay that amount using gift cards and save that way.

          I.E.

A sale on a JB computer is already on sale, and JB have an extra special lets say for arguments sake similar to this listing a special 10% off all items if you buy on a Wednesday on a specific date. Let's just say after the sale and after the special discount the computer comes out to $1,000.

Because you can buy a gift card worth $1,000 with a 5% discount it only costs you $950 and hence you save $50.

When you go to the counter and purchase the good you simply give them the gift card as it is essentially money.

If you are a Suncorp customer (cash rewards and multiple other platforms have similar sales on Gift Cards) you get access to their everyday discounts portal of which they have hundreds and hundreds of discounts - best are on gift cards, like Wish, Myer, Coles, Big W etc… that you can use in instances like this. I am one and I use their gift cards for shopping and almost everything as a true OzBargainer would!!

          Hope that helps!

      • Tempting

    • +3

Yes, but gaming consoles are excluded.

    • +2

Does not apply to pre-orders which a lot of PS5 owners would have been hoping for though.

      • Oh yes pre-orders excluded too.

  • Wow, this would be amazing if it can be stacked with the staff discount and gift cards.

    • Agree. Any past experiences stacking staff discount with % off ?

      • +2

Double discounts haven't worked for me but every time I still have hope

  • -5

I linked the card but not getting 10% off on lego going check out? Anyone has same problem?

  • -2

Does this stack with gift cards?

    • -2

This is a serious question who down voted me?

      • -1

        See big discussion above.

    • +1

      Yes, I think it would.

  • Looks like prices have been jacked. Was eyeing the 55" EKO UHD with Android TV, was $649 a day or two ago now $699
edit: never mind didn't realise there were two versions - the non-frameless version was $699 and frameless was $649.

  • +2

was expecting more comments on this tbh.

has anyone done the maths on the 10x points multipler for online purchases?

Say $880 purchase, comes down to $800 with the 10% discount.

    pay using GC @ 5% discount = $760

    800*10 = 8000 points - converts to $40 of future shopping credits

Net outlay $720 so ~19% off?

    • I remember last year the 10x was active for this VIP event but not sure if they doing this year? Where to find out?

    • Whatcha buying for 8?

    • $880 purchase, comes down to $800 with the 10% discount.

$880 comes down to $792 with the 10% discount.

  • Its working now, I just got 10% off in my purchase

  • Thanks OP. Got 10% off my purchase.

  • +1

What's everyone buying? I don't shop at Big W often and 10% off doesn't get me that excited… Is it LEGO?

  • Does 10% off work for Sim cards/Starter Packs?

    Anyone tried yet???

    • +1

I think it does, but may be nothing on sale.

  • +1

What's everyone buying? Socks and undies?

  • Does it include video games ?

    • it does

    • But not pre orders

Edit: Actually pre orders do work.

  • -1

10% isn't even that great and not really a fan of the items available for purchase at Big W. Why so many upvotes?

    • +4

Why do you care? It is what it is. If it's not for you, move along.
