I’ve always just used diluted vinegar to descale my coffee machines…
This or citric acid works a treat. I prefer using citric acid over vinegar because it has no smell.
I heard vinegar isn't strong enough to remove limescale.
OP have you considered other products like citric acid or cream of tartar? You know you don't have to use the commercial solution on your machine right?
250ml for $12 i think is quite expensive. I have been using below 1lit for $20 and does very good job

I'm using the Sunbeam KE0100 Liquid Descaler for coffee machines and kettles. It does a good job. It's around $5 - $7.
I use Dr Beckmann Appliance Descaler for coffee machine. It is doing a great job.

Descaler eats away at your machine. Use with caution
If you use filtered water, assume you don’t need to descale as often.
Household filters improve the taste of water but don't do anything to lower water hardness.
Not so sure about that. Never had to descale a kettle and before that always had to.
I've always used a couple of spoonfuls of citric acid dissolved in hot water as a descaler.
It only costs a couple of dollars at colesworths and a container lasts for ages.
same, does the job. bottle lasts two descales.
I assume you could use this in any coffee machine to descale?
