Just FYI there appears to be two variants - a 300 nit and a 220nit and going by previous discussions AU gets the 220 nits version

Did this just change from r5 4500 model to intel or am I going crazy

    • Yep I saw that too

Makes sense Australia gets 220nits, we don't get much sun here so the extra brightness isn't required.

Yep changed from r5 to Intel and 512 gb to 256 GB. Checkee dell website found ryzen 7 4700 U available at $1124. However, only 8 GB ram. Link is here

  • Another good option in this price range: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ASUS-VivoBook-15-F512DA-15-6-FHD…

    • Just a shame there isn't a budget version at 14"

    • can athlon compare with this one?

      • Not really… less than half the performance.

No USB C is a deal breaker for me in 2020

Your order may never arrive is a deal breaker for me.

    • What the, where did it say that?

    Terrible customer service

    • Why

      • Two weeks to test … if you find anything after you have a lump of coal, depsite the specs you buy, with little help on part of dell
        Good luck

  • Ordered. Hopefully here in a few weeks
