    Free Delivery on this also.

  • Not bad but I thought this price ($99)at DSE has been ongoing for more than 3 months already?
A good deal for a Blue Ray player, I also have one, too.
Just one thing bearing in mind, its youtube feature is absolutely terrible.
First it lags and it's not user friendly when it comes to the search menu…

  • The crucial question: Is it region free? If not, how easy is it to change/unlock?

  • +1

http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks?dvdplayer=BDP3200&hits=50&… suggests it can make DVDs region free, which is of some use, but not what you're after.

    • I just to do this on my one and it worked a treat. Thank you.

  • Does it sound like a jet engine when running? I have a BingLee BR-player and the sound is terrible- I'm looking for an upgrade

  • I would rather buy Samsung BD-D5100 from Bing Lee at the same price.

    • Why the Samsung over the Philips? I'm looking for a media player and it sounds like it fits the bill rather than the WD option.

    • does the Samsung and Philips both do 3D?

      • +1

        Neither of them do.

        Samsung
        http://www.samsung.com/au/consumer/tv-audio-video/blu-ray-dv…

        Philips
        http://www.philips.com.au/c/blu-ray-dvd/3000-series-divx-plu…

I have the Philips so can confirm it doesn't do 3D.

BTW I think it's a great unit, plays pretty much everything. Only thing missing is .ISO playback, but it plays back 1080p MKVs fine, with subtitle support.

I have never used the online features though.

I'd rather go for the Philips myself, the remote is good the interface clean. Can't say the same for my last Samsung.

        • NTFS support then?

        • Yeah, my drives are NTFS, no probe there.

        • +1

Posted from my phone earlier so a bit of a typo… *no probs there

I use it with a 1TB external 3.5" drive and I've tried a few portables too, all NTFS.

        • awesome, might have to pick one up, I've got a sony one at the moment but it doesn't support ntfs so wtf is the point of supporting mkv? :P:P

  • Wow, the post even explains the USB 2.0 standard ;-)
