Saw the banner on eBay's website

eBay will be running $1 Tuesdays for the month of November, with different categories changing every Tuesday. This week's category is "Toys and Games".

For those unfamiliar with this type of promotion, starting @ 10AM and every few hour intervals eBay will release limited quantity drops of products available for purchase with promotional coupons revealed at the start of each drop. These can be found on the eBay Plus Deals page

        no free express postage… at $1, its no biggie… but the higher priced ebay plus deals with no express postage is just sad.

          yeah I thought that would be the case but the order confirmation is showing that its free express delivery and also comes with an option to return (not that anyone will return the $1 item).

    Just got a message from the seller saying they cannot source the Etch A Sketch and will be issuing a refund. What a waste of time. Nice one eBay

        I got a message to say they can't source the Kinetic Sand. The seller confirmed they won't exchange it for another item/toy. So disappointed :(

      Same here. I wonder if they had any stock at all. Bait and switch in my opinion, and especially maddening since I could have used the coupon on another item. Going to see if there's a way to raise this problem with eBay, any suggestions?

      Edit: Going to report the seller (https://www.ebay.com.au/help/action?topicId=4850) once I see what they do with the refund (they should refund me the full price of the item, not just the $1, in my opinion).

        Even if seller pays full refund, you will only get what you paid for the item and eBay will deduct the rest.

        Seller has already refunded me the $1. I agree I couldve bought a different $1 item.so I am a little pissed. I contacted eBay and all they can do apparently is ask the seller nicely if something else can be arranged i.e one of the other items that were $1 to be used as a substitute. However I doubt the seller will agree

        I'm going to escalate the case as far as possible. It's a principle thing. I have helped to run a popular eBay store in the past and there are very strict conditions on taking part in an eBay Plus sale such as this one. As the number of available items was known well ahead of time, they should have secured stock ahead of time before they are allowed to take part in the sale, not go around finding stock (and failing to do so) after the sale has happened.
