          Nope

          I can confirm this works.

    • How many gold fish do you have?

    • +2

Make sure your gold fish buys a new tank or some fish food over $20. :)

    • Your gold fishies have their own PayPal or bank account? Or they can share yours?

      • Paypal accounts under $1000 dont need verification.

Expiry date? Unknown at this time?

    • Also in for the answer to this one.
I have friends messaging me wondering if my phone got hacked, so I must have successfully have done my part to spam even distant aquaintences.

well, I tried, but only got $10 back

First few transactions after 3pm went through at $10 due to a caching issue. These have since updated and should now show $30 in your account. Thanks.

Well well well, the IPO must be getting very close now.

    • boost the revenue, so that the EV/Sales looks cheaper.

Any ozbargainers buying the IPO? Will it Moon and Lambo? Any one can share their DD?

      • ipo?

        • +2

yes they are doing run around with the fundies. ANZ just came on as strategic investor with 19% stake. So they upsized their offer. Won't be long now.

Although if you are retail peasant like me, we'll probably not going to get any access. You gotta be driving Red BMW, work at westpac as analyst and own a s708 cert.

    • How do you get in on the IPO? I'm noob to investing…

  • -2

You also need to add credit card and make above $20 purchase to get bonus

    • Why would you need a credit card? Aren't the funds going into your bank account?

      • +6

Credit card is required only if you wish to get cashback at any of our in-store merchants, and even then we require only the card number (name, expiry date, verification code are not required). For online shopping, we don't require credit card number at all. Thanks.

  • +1

Never even got the last time they did the $20 one. Unsure when the bonus comes through.

  • -1

Can I get referral bonus if I refer this to my partner and children?

    • Does your partner and children live with you?

      • -1

yup so far :) but the term never says anything about this. also TA never responded to my query…. i will keep asking until they clarify :)

        • +4

          It's definitely in the terms:

          https://www.cashrewards.com.au/refer-a-friend-terms

If you are a member of the Service in good standing during the Promotion Term, you can be an advocate for the Service and in the process earn a thirty dollar ($30.00 AUD) referral bonus for each qualifying Referral that you make to the Service (each, a “Referral Bonus”). For purposes of this paragraph, a qualifying “Referral” means: any new, unique individual, who is not a member of your household (including yourself).

          • @tightarse: ok thank :) i will ask my partner to go to Shopback :) just joking… !

            • +11

@SydBoy: Ask your partner to move out

  • done!

  • good deal. What would be the best thing to spend on to satisfy the $20 requirement but not spending on unnecessarily?

    • +6

Chemist warehouse is always good…. stock up on soap, shampoo medicine etc

    • +2

CW as pointed or one of those prepaid offers (Amaysim, Catch or Woolies prepaid)

  • just referred a friend last evening, will CR give me $30? feels so bad missing it out by few hours :(

  • +1

What should we have received the previous $20 one? Referred someone who spent $100ish at chemist warehouse a week later. That was at least a month ago. Neither of us has seen a credit.

  • +1

How long does it take for the bonus to appear on our account?

I refer my cousin via Facebook link and she made a purchase on the First Choice for $100

The cashback tracked for her but neither of us are seeing any referral bonus in our account.

    • +1

Referrals report instantly into accounts upon signup by the referred. Two reasons it won’t - (1) referred didn’t click to register via the supplied referral link or (2) the system detected association between the referrer and referred (against terms).

      • What would the association be?

        • Member of your household, including yourself. As per the terms.

          • +2

@FrugalNotStingy: What does a member of your household even mean?

The person whom I refer certainly does not live at my house. She happens to be visiting me today when I told her about it and got her to sign up and made a purchase using my computer.

As far as I am concern, I refer a person who does not live with me who is a new and unique user and wouldn't have known about cash-reward without me telling her.

I can show them ID with address on them if they need it.

            • +3

              @highdealer:

got her to sign up and made a purchase using my computer.

One of the many system checks is IP address. Her signup would have been flagged as self-referral and explains the reason for not receiving the referral bonus. If it’s a genuine referral, feel free to reach out to our support team for review (they will require supporting evidence). Thanks.

              • +2

                @tightarse: Ok thanks

                • @highdealer: @tightarse having the same problem here… you can't even send an enquiry to support as the website is designed to deflect any any enquires unless it meets this criteria: PLEASE NOTE: 'Send a Claim' option is not available for clicks dated within 7 days or after 60 days. My girlfriend signed me up & I was at her house when I did it and spent the required $20 as mentioned in the promo…

                  • +3

@pumpkin123: Follow the link TA posted and select "my reward support" instead of "cashback claim" as topic, then it will let you send a request for referral bonus.

  • Did anyone try using the above random referral code? It still shows as $10 cash back?
    @tightarse, pls confirm. Thanks

  • Anyone know if my friend can sign up and buy a $25 (or whatever) gift card through cashrewards and be eligible for this? Or purchase a $25 giftcard from ebay through paypal digital gifts ?

    • +1

You cannot buy gift cards on eBay and receive cashback.

      eBay AU

Cashback is ineligible on purchase of Gift Cards, Vouchers, Coupons, Stamps, Tickets, Coins, Money, Gold Bullion, Cars, Motorbikes, Boats, eBay Motors, Travel, Services, Non-Profit, Charity, Real Estate, eBay Plus Subscriptions.

  • +2

Damn I didn't read the terms and signed up a family member.

    • oh really? what if family is friend too :/

      • +1

Make sure you use a unique IP address (mobile phone as hotspot or signup up via incognito after you reset your IP)

        • Does that actually work?

  • Does anyone know if I cancel the first purchase and make another purchase, does it count? Or will it be voided since it is no longer a first purchase?

    • As long as one successful transaction is $20 should be ok. The successful transaction will be your “first” qualifying purchase “ makes at least one single Qualifying Purchase (transaction) of at least twenty dollars ($20.00 AUD)”

  • +1

So the referral would need to make a single transaction of ($20) to qualify.
Does purchasing multiple small items (for example via ebay) in a single checkout that has a total sum of $20 qualify for this? or does it need to be a single item that is at least $20 worth ? Anyone is able to clarify this ? Thanks in advance.

    • +2

Hi, and yes. Provided it's a single transaction (checkout) of $20 or more you're good to go, irrespective of the fact there are multiple items in that transaction.

      • purchasing a gift card is an eligible transaction?

        • Unfortunately no. As per the requirement, all store terms need to be adhered to, and purchasing gift cards through eBay is ineligible.

      • Hi, what if the referred person makes the 1st transaction of less than $20. But given we have 90 days since referred, what if we make another more than $20 during that period. Thanks

      • Thanks for clarifying, I was wondering the exact same thing because they usually track as separate transactions.

  • purchasing a gift card is an eligible transaction?

  • before i sign up is there anything experienced users have found the be a negative to this service?

    • no

  • What if the referee bought items from Amazon over $20 even though cashback is listed as 0.0%? Will the referrer get $30 bonus?

    • No. Amazon cashback listed at 0.00% results in cashback being declined, not tracked as $0; therefore was not tracked successfully as $20+ purchase and thus ineligible for the bonus.
