since wish cards discounts are no longer, this works out to be 4.5% off if spending $300 or more

for example, spend $300, get 9x points, so 2700 points - $13.50= 4.5% return
no limits as far as I can tell, but only one transaction, so thats 10 cards per transaction unless things have changed

the best of a bad bunch as they say, compared to 5% off wish card discounts

the last time there was a cashback deal on wishgift cards, people were able to stack the 5% and cashback, (I didnt try)

it pains me when I realise we dont get 5% off anymore……

edit: Its ambiguous, but I would guess it means you get the points when you buy the wish card in store, and NOT when you use the wish card in store/online

    actually, I just realised, do you even get points on the purchase of wish gift cards at woolworths???

    because 9 x 0 points = 0 Points

    been a while since I bought one in store

    Very confusing scheme. Do I need to purchase a $300 wish gift card and spend it all in one transaction to get the 8x points for that 4.5% equivalent discount? Ir can I buy a $5 gift card, spend $120 on my other wish gift cards (in stock) to get a discount of $5.4? Probably not the latter one so much better to wait for the offer of $xx off on $XXX spend online or in store

      Edit: in my last example of spending $120, the best scenario is getting reward points to the value of $3.6 (6x). So a proof of very confusing (at least to me 😅). Also, In the email I received, I have to click through the provided link to activate the offer, which means double dipping on discounted purchase is very difficult, if possible at all

    The email is ambiguously worded and can be interpreted as follows:

    • You need to buy the gift card, and
    • You can then spend the gift card

    And the above (together) make you eligible for the promotion.

    It is only when you refer to the fine print that you see that the the spend relates to the amount of the gift card.

    I don't know how the email made it through quality control/proofreading.

    got the 9x also.

    data harvesting since you never needed to stick in the rewards number - good ploy by them.

    think it's pretty clear:
    To earn 9x points on qualifying Gift Cards^ you must click through the 'Shop now' button from this email only and spend $300+ on one or more qualifying Gift Cards^ in a single transaction at Woolworths Gift Cards online at woolworths.com.au/giftcards

    FWIW … you can still get 5% off Wish cards if you’re a member of the NRMA. And I think the same goes for the RACV.

        I'm clicking the shop now button from the email but because I'm still logged in from previously the 3% code is still applied.

        Nothing I'm reading in the fine print seems like it would exclude this.

    Spending $300 will give you 300 points no matter what. So 9x points only give you 2400 extra points. I would only treat it as 4% discount.
