Hi all,

Just saw this email pop up and looks to be targeted.

  • Eligibility Period commences on the date the user receives the E-mail Invitation or on the date displayed for the user on the marketing banners and concludes 27 days later (“Eligibility Period”). eBay reserves the right to cancel or discontinue the offer at any time.

  • The offer entitles Eligible Customers to unlock a Coupon Offer when they spend $10 (AUD) or more in one transaction (excluding postage costs) weekly during the Eligibility Period. If a return or claim is opened in relation to a transaction, this transaction will not be counted.

That sounds similar to Coles flybuys bonus points

    • Indeed!

    • Or Woolies everyday reward points

    • this is a lame deal

there is regular 10% off on ebay every few weeks

Boy! that's some hoops to jump through to get 10% on "eligible items"

    • That is true, I missed that and definitely got baited by ebay

Do these type of things get sent to email addresses or are they in ebay messages? I seem to never be targeted for any decent ebay deals. I think its because they already know I spend enough on there, so there is no need for them to target me..

    • I get them in my email but not the ebay messages. I believe you need to turn on promotional emails if you haven't already

  • I can’t imagine a single person benefiting from this offer

That's a very poor imagination you must have, sorry to hear that.

      • You say it like it’s a bad thing in this instance

        • Perhaps it isn't in this instance, but how far does your imagination (or lack of) stretch?

    • I disagree. Although not fantastic, its not terrible. Im looking to buy a $1800 part, 10% off is $180 discount (as long as its part of eligible items)
I only have to buy $10 item for 4 weeks (something I probably already do).

      • I just never imagined

If it was a sitewide 10% off,it might be worth it.
Otherwise, this looks to be one of the worse eBay deals yet.

With a history of some really terrible deals, that is saying something!
