Good for growing spuds in. Got my hopes up and then was dashed unfortunately.

Do you put holes in the bottom?

          • +5

@Yola: Yes, I did 1 in centre and 6 around the outer. 10mm bit. If you don't drill holes they'll just rot after being waterlogged

@slimdealin: That's a great idea, I'm going to give it a go of is not too late to plant potatoes.

              • +1

@Aliandmike: Nope, still time to plant in most places. Check the gardenate website to be sure :)

Also great for parties, can sling a whole lot of ice and drinks in each one.

Just be careful they are UV stabilised. The Ezy brand ones at Bunnings are. I have 6 60l tubs with sweet potatoes growing in them. A punch seemed easier than drilling though.

PROTIP: I worked out a little cheat,
You need to Stop the page load when the Green "add cart" button appears.
We're talking milliseconds. Took me 10 refreshes to get the timing right.

All colours are available in the one I am looking at

    • Heaps still in Blacktown store, just bought a couple, variety of colours available. They are to the left of the entry.

Even staff came over to buy after I'd enquired about the price because there was an old tag saying $3.69 but they confirmed all were $1.99.

Edit: Pic of stock level when I went

  • all colours out of stock in store near me, white and black can still be added to cart for click and collect tho. Tempting, they always come in handy for something

      Do you speak from experiences?

      • Agreed, they snap off easily, even the bigger tub. I only put legos in them.

Sorry that I read this in Borat's voice.

    • Yep, they broke on my couple of tubs. Before one of them went in the bin, i used it for mixing cement for a floor tiles project so i made the best use out of it.

      • Good to know. Thanks.

  • Thanks OP . there are plenty in Vermont VIC, Got a couple of tubs.

  • Just a general question, Any idea to be used for outdoor as flower pot?

Is this material able to hold hydrochloric acid without the acid burning through?

These tubs are great, we use one as a laundry basket and one for gardening drag it around while weeding/pruning.

    • I put them out when its raining and catch the water.

      • Keeping them out in the elements after a year or two causes the handles to degrade and eventually break (well it is what happened to mine).

        • +1

          That is $1 per year.

  • Heaps in Taylor lakes

    • For those who have already collected their orders, how is the quality? Thanks.
