The ECOtanka 2L stainless-steel lunchBOX / foodBOX and the 650ml pocketBOX has been made to a very high-quality standard, strong enough to handle bumps and knocks yet big enough to fit one person's morning snack, lunch and afternoon tea all in one box.

The design of ECOtanka lunchBOX is to have NO plastic in contact with your food and to be able to seal the stainless-steel lid with the stainless-steel body, which has been achieved by combining a German-grade silicone seal to the underside of the lid and a fitted plastic locking frame to the top of the lid.

ECOtanka lunchBOX is versatile and multi-functional, which can also be used as a pure and solid stainless-steel container without the silicone seal and plastic locking frame, or and comes with one or two pocketBOXes inside to separate and portion different kinds of food.

  Yeah but 1) i want to heat up my food in the microwave or 2) it’s not double walled so it will turn my bag into a soggy mess if it’s cold food or 3) hot food will turn cold.

  Not exactly an ideal lunch box imo

    This is not for everyone and looks like definitely not for you, but we also call it a "foodBOX" and when you put salads or vegetables in them and put in the fridge, they can stay fresh for 7+ days like the day you brought your food.

    Stainless Steel is an alternative to plastic, there are lots of people that don't want their food in contact with plastic.

    Double-wall just means it has two layers and will not keep food hot or cold, to keep food hot or cold you need a vacuum design. To do a double-wall vacuum for this size box could not be done at the time of tooling and if it could be done the price would be very expensive and the box would be very heavy.

  In the description it says "A-Grade materials and finished product". Wait a minute, aren't we getting B-grade finished products.

    We have a few of these that we have regraded and want to offer a great deal for someone, this may not be for you but it will be for others. We sell thousands of these in Germany and the quality is very high. It is like buying an A-grade but just has a mark in one place.

  Hi Goliathus, I think it is very obvious this product is not made for the microwave due to the materials it is made from and is not even debatable. However, this product was made so you can reheat or cook on a stove, BBQ, or campfire, so if you have a power cut and need your food reheated give me a call :)

  Some customers even use the base as a baking mould for cakes, pies and bread, just throw it in the oven and done, no need for a microwave.
