Good thing its free delivery, imagine trying to fit that in the back of the camry, not to mention the 4 guys you need to carry it

    • -1

But doesn't everyone have an SUV these days, surely that's the kinds of thing they are useful for… :)

      • Had a 75" just fit in a wk2 grand cherokee and a horrible position but lucky it was just a 5m8n drive

      • Cept when the suv rolls over cause its top heavy and still need a forklift to carry it from suv LOL

  • +1

I like the price but whats a 60 refresh rate like on a 85"?

    • +1

Clear/smooth motion rate 200 on this one.
So actual refresh rate is 100hz which is not bad as compared to others in similar range or even higher priced models with lesswr refresh rate than this one.

  • Cheaper on e-bay for Melbourne people ($2,595 delivered), but only 2 available:
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SLASHED-TCL-85-4K-QUHD-Android-S…

    • Wow, and $300 bonus gift card! Is it possible to claim unless is sold by Betta ?

      • They've probably messed up the models. This one's only eligible for $100 GC.

OP should also correct the description of this post (Title says $100; Description says $200).

        • The GC is from Betta and not TCL. Confirmed it on their website, it shows $300 VISA GC if you try to redeem their offer against this exact model number.
I'm guessing you may be able to claim another $100 from TCL promo as well for a total of $400 in GC

Edit: Yup, you can get additional $100 from TCL as well. Mentions the same on the product page

          • @firefly2k3: If you click on $300GC option, it takes you to 3 year warranty thing. Doesn't say anything about the $300 GC.

            • @koolchamp81: I think it's linked incorrectly on the product page. Go here instead.

Edit 1: Not sure what store to select though if bought on their ebay store.
Edit 2: But again from their T&C #16 "Offer not valid for sales made via 3rd party marketplace sites, including but not limited to eBay, Amazon, Catch, The Myer Market or Bunnings MarketLink.". So not sure how they are advertising that on the ebay listing. Have sent a message to the seller on ebay.

              • @firefly2k3: It looks like ebay purchased items not eligible for the GC. And the price on their website is 2995. Might be able to bring it down to 2660 with their price matching policy but not sure. If bought from their site then it will be eligible for the GC. If it's the real thing then it will be really a great deal for $2260 ($300GC+$100 TCL promotion).

                • @koolchamp81: No it should be fine. They will send you their store invoice and probably won't even have any mention of eBay anywhere in the invoice. When registering you just select the store

              • @firefly2k3: Just wondering if you got any reply yet ?

                • @koolchamp81: Unfortunately no response yet.

                  • @firefly2k3: I guess they messed up somewhere n that's why no response yet. Anyways thanks for the reply.

                    • @koolchamp81: Got a response just now:
"Understand what you're saying. All good, because the Tax Invoice we provide is from John Alan Betta, on official tax invoice from our retail arm of the business, John Alan Betta. You will be able to redeem the $300 Gift Card."

                      • @firefly2k3: Thanks for sharing it. But as the price on their website is different , they will find out that it is an eBay purchase and will reject the claim. Don't know if this is the right price or it will drop further during Black. Friday sales. Last year's boxing day prices were more than the normal sales. Some of the stuff had good deals but overall not much different or expensive than the previous sales.

                        • @koolchamp81: No they won't. They actually can't deny the claim since its still purchased from thr same business with same ABN. I've done it many times with ebay 20% off from TGG and betta. No issues, even the trs claims are on the full purchase price since they don't mention the ebay discount on them

                          • @DoesntEvenMatter: So, $2195 delivered for Vic if bought on 11/11/2020. Good investigative work.

                            • @armageddeus: Still not bad @2295. Not a bad deal really IMHO but it hasn't attracted OzBargainers. Second biggest manufacturer of tvs with 3 year warranty.

    • Thanks, just grabbed one. Now need a new entertainment unit to fit the damn thing on.

      • Nice… Let us know how you go with claiming the $300 gift card.
        Thanks.

      • Hey mate, how did you go with the redemption of GC ? Also howz the experience so far , I meant tv quality ? Did you find any voice synch issues in Prime video or any screen bleeding issue ?
        Thanks

        • The application for the GC went in with no problems and I received a confirmation email that it had been approved, just waiting to receive it now.

Received the TV but moving house in a few days so haven't set it up yet. Might be another week or so before I get it set up, but will update then.

          • @haynes48: Thanks for the reply. Did you receive the invoice straightway or not ? Today is the last day of the promotion.

  • +1

Not free delivery to my postcode. $241 delivery kills the deal.

    • Yea same only 2hrs out of city but got a friend in the CBD so can get free shipping if needed

      • Be careful getting it from your friends to yours. It won’t fit inside most cars. You’ll probably need a van or a trailer

        • +2

"It won't fit inside most cars"

          What are you talking about?

  • Rather get a high end 65 inch for same price

  • I’ve got the 43” of this. Highly recommended

  • Does this one come with Full array local dimming ? Really good price for a 85 inch tv.. Hisense 85 R7 had full array local dimming with 200 hz smooth motion rate and was on special for around $2700 but th model is discontinued.

    • According to specs it does

      • Thanks, yeah the spec says micro dimming with DirectLed (dled) panel which is like FALD but not same. Still better than the edgelit or frame dimming panels.

  • Whats the input lag for this bad boi?

Good or terrible for new ps5?

  • +4

Shipping cost to Perth Metro $808. Will be transported in a trailer being towed by a Rolls Royce

  • +1

if anyone's interested in the specifications, the tcl brochure has it listed out.

I think i might get this, looks okay for next gen.

  • +1

Delivery cost $808 for WA wtf

  • -1

Now I'm nitpicking… but looks really weird though with the stands flush to the edges… I think it would have looked better if they were inset a bit.

PS: Picture on the Appliance Central listing is actually of the 75" which looks better.

  • I can't decide between TCL or HISENSE.

I really like the new C815 TCL

    or Q8 hisense

    • +1

Does c815 comes in 85 inches as well ?
Q8 last available for $3990 from JBhifi around 2 weeks ago but had been cheaper in the past. Don't know how much discount we have during Black Friday or boxing day sales.

      • Oh I should mention I'm happy with 65 inches

      • For a $4000 budget, u should have considered the Sony x9000h 85" at JB yesterday. Mate has one, hence was sitting on the fence w this TCL. Decisions, decisions..

  • I really want to know more about the C815 ? VS this one
