No problem, I'm also on the Central Coast, looks like all local stores have stock according to the website.

      • Sweet. Was actually thinking yesterday I need a Jew hose and multi spray attachment. Love OzBargain haha

          what's a Jew hose……oh I think you meant a new hose.

        • +3

          a Jew hose

          A Borat gag?

  • Picked up the 30m version for $14 last week though might of been clearance as can't find 30m length anymore.

Just look at the reviews in the Bunnings website.

    • Just read them. Not great reviews haha

For what its worth, I bought one of these about 4 years ago as a temporary measure. I have it in a reel that spends all its time in westerly sun and I have never had any issues with it.

I have also bought several of those blue Nylex fittings and they have also been rock solid.

    • Most reviews are bad on bunnings

      • Came here to say exactly that, the ONLY reviews on bunnings are complaints. Until bunnings figures out they need to encourage honest reviews from everyday customers, it'll stay that way.

  • I've got this hose - has lasted me well for maybe 2.5yrs now. Recently got a split but was near the end so I just cut it out. Defs worth $15

For a long hose like that with that kink rating, do yourself a favour and get trolley/reel. Will save fustration.

I got this one and it’s rubbish. Just wait for the Aldi brand to go on special.

  • +2

    Before anyone asks, it kinks!

  • The bunnings comments are not reassuring.

    • The reviews are mostly 1 star, maybe that is the reason Bunnings tries to get rid of them.

      • +1

        It's against the Aldi catalogue.

Surely bunnings is displaying illegal anti-competitive behavior by doing this every time Aldi does better. Bunnings default pricing is therefore too high.

Made in China. Saw it in Bunnings, but decided not to buy.

The way they are treating Australia at the moment, it certainly is.

        • That's the government. Not the companies that are making these items.

          • +1

@pformag: That's true. But Australian companies are being made to suffer.

      • Yes

    • Yeah, should buy from Hoselink as they're a friendly Australian company and their products aren't made in… oh no.

      • It's all doom and gloom… Let us bow down to China.

I have two of these. They kink very easily, especially in the summer when the hose becomes extremely soft. Avoid

  • I bought one of these 2 years ago and sits undercover but also in the afternoon sun. Developed bubbles in the clear outside lining of the hose which turned into pin holes. Wouldn't buy again

  • the ratings are terrible

    • ALL ratings on bunnings are terrible. Salt required.

Need to spend about $3 a metre for a good hose

  • Last week I bought a Pope garden hose based on positive reviews. The Pope brand comes with perma-fit connectors which should fair better than conventional connectors. No leaks so far.

  • +1

Nylex should be banned from making hoses, even their expensive anti-kink hoses are garbage.

  • Hands down,Aldi have the best hose….patience grasshopper!

    • Which company is supplying ALDI?

  • +2

DO NOT BUY THIS HOSE! Fittings are OK but the hose is worthless.

I was sucked in by the cheap price and bought this a few years ago. It was OK to start with but became less and less flexible to the point where it was impossible to roll and constantly kinked while using it. It was always kept out of the sun.

I gave it away for free and bought a more expensive one.

    • What brand did you go with?

  • I have someone stealing garden hose from the front of the house. I have had 2 taken till now. I have it tucked away near the side gate. Any tips to prevent this from happening?

  • Can someone explain how anti kink actually works?

  • I bought this a few years back, save your money as its a load of rubbish

    • Stop spending money on hoes? you sound like Snoop

  • It’s back up to $24.70 on their site
