Read plenty of reviews comparing this and the 245.

If you are a runner, go for the 245. The vivo touch screen is a pain to use when sweaty.

I've had mine for 2 1/2 years. Battery still going strong. Works well. It's a pretty good fitness watch, but less amazing as a smartwatch

      • Battery on mine died at 18 months (couldn't get through a day + night), no shortage of issues.

        Touchscreen is shit.

I paid around this when I bought mine, not worth this much for old tech. I moved to a bip S earlier in the year and have been happy and don't miss any of the VA3 features, because most of it's a gimmick and does nothing.

        • where did you buy the bip S from? im waiting on gts2 to come out

          • @sagrules: It was mid covid, so I just opted for some random ebay seller that had Au stock

            • @knk: Any comparisons between other Huami devices and Garmin? Amazfit Stratos seems like a good option. But it's hard to find good comparison reviews

@Calcifer: Nah can't say I have any outside of using the mi band 3 quite a while ago.

I've heard the stratos falls short in the software department, I wanted something not running android for the battery life. The zepp app is nothing to write home about in all honesty, but for what I paid for this thing I'm happy.

Basically, the garmin had all these features like automatic exercise detection, VO2 max testing, trueup all that shit. None of it actually worked as far as I can tell.

The bip doesn't have a stepper mode which is honestly the biggest downside, I just use eliptical mode instead. Outside of that I miss nothing.

@knk: Thanks. The bip does seem neat. I was keen on the new pebble before pebble shut up shop and sold to fit it. The bip seems similar in looks if not much else

    • Had mine for 6 weeks now. Love it, but I really only do walks not running just yet. The battery life is probably the biggest letdown but I knew that going by reviews, getting used to charging every 4-5 days or so.

      • mine goes for ages without gps use but it’s only 3 mths old but i don’t wear at night and use mainly when walking and cycling.

  • Anyone seen any deals on the vivoactive 4s?
