    works fine with PS5?

    • +2

If you don't mind 60hz then yes.

      • -2

        Its 4k 120hz

        • This TV is 100% 60hz

        • You can't do 120fps if it doesn't have HDMI 2.1 ports

          • @fookos: You can't do 120fps if it doesn't have 120fps.

            • @Penpinch: Which would be a good reason they haven't equipped it with HDMI 2.1 ;)

        • +1

          It's 4k 100hz, which means the PS5 would drops down to 60hz.

  • Wow, this is less than I paid for my Hisense a couple years back. Is this better than the Hisense series 7/8?

    • +2

compared to last years model averaging $1500 & as low as $1200's its overpriced imo id be waiting for under $1500 or look for a better deal on Q60/Q70 black friday/boxing day deals

      • Huh, I thought Samsung TVs were always much more expensive, especially 75inch. like 2-3 grand at least.

        • This is just the base model goes up n up from there, overall bad year for Tv deals everything above last years prices, see how Black Friday, Boxing Day deals go

          • @RogueWolf: I'm not after a new tv, was just surprised. I'm after a new fridge if anything

  • Costs $37 to ship to metro WA.

    • Updated to Selected Metro. Was free delivery in NSW.

Have you checked the eBay listing?

  • Showing as available for 1599 with the "Save up to $100*. Min spend $100+" code for me.

    Perhaps from Ebay plus?

    • What code is that? I’m an eBay plus member.

      • TSS100WTQ7JXWFQM

        Showed up "My Ebay"

        • Must be unique to your account as not working for me :(

  • Anyone own this TV? How is it for sports/Gaming? Not super fussy.. currently on a 5-year old TCL

    • +1

I’ve been using the 55” model with my PS5 this past week and I’ve had no complaints. 4K resolution on it looks really crisp and the Game Mode offers close to zero input lag.

  • Is there a code to get the $1699 delivered price?

Delivery to 6000 is $50 on ebay or $33.94 direct for me.

    • Appears that WA is excluded from Free Delivery.

      • Thanks, I see the other comment that came up while I was still checking prices.

Choosing a television is a pain in the backside. The one is this post is super cheap, but to get to the next level (OLED with VRR) and get the most from your gaming pleasure, you end up needing to double the price, and then end up with a smaller panel as well!

Not to mention the mess hdmi 2.1 is on the mid range… Some have 2 ports some have just one… Others have blur issues.. So basically for something definite its as you say high end Oled for double the price.. Lol

  • Will Good Guys price match this?

    • Just got to Good Guys to see if they would price match and now it appears it’s OOS at Powerland. FFS

      • Back in stock. Try now and update us if they price match

        • They won’t price match if the competitor doesn’t actually have stock on hand.

  • Went to BingLee and checked the product, very disappointed at picture quality IMO. Low brightness level and poor color accuracy. Far worse than other models of Samsung / Sony at $2k circa.

IMO best to check the product in person before impulse buying due to cheap price tag… you pay what you get…

Did you check and or adjust the settings on this TV? I know that some retailers specially adjust the settings to make it loose worse to get customers to buy the more expensive version which gives more commission.

    • opposite experience to me when I went to JB a few weeks back - they pretty much had everything on display TU8000, Q60t, Q70t, sony x8000, x9000, they had some kind of 4k scenery playing, i really couldn't see that much difference between them at all, being honest. Maybe I didn't look closely enough but the TU8000 looked great, especially for it's price. If you want the 120Hz and gaming then i guess it's not for you, otherwise for general 4k viewing and 1080p upscaling (heard it performs very well), and general viewing it should serve great.

This is the replacement for the RU7000 series from 2019, not sure why every brand increased their model numbers

VA panel, no full array local dimming, 60hz (fake 120hz), no wide colour gamut

It’s a good entry level TV that’s fine for most but just don’t expect too much from it

  • Back in stock although not dispatching under Feb 2021. Don’t want to wait that long. Anyone know of anywhere else that has stock price matching this?

  • Yes if u go to Costco(only if u are member), they still have same deal for $1798.98 until 22nd. I just confirmed today.
